Good morning everyone.

Well, it seems Sassy is staying in a good range. I think we've finally got the bg testing down (it was kind of hit or miss before). So now we're much more comfortable testing and can do it with more regularity.

I left a message for Sassy's vet about her numbers. She hasn't had any insulin since last Saturday morning, and I don't know if I should continue to not give her any. The vet will not be back until Monday, so if anyone has any feedback, that would be great.

Thanks again and happy Friday!

I'm no expert, and don't have enough experience to really advise...but IMO, it looks like her numbers are just fine w/o insulin. It would be nice to see more blanks filled in on the ss, tho--particularly what they look like a few hours after eating.

I'm sure someone with more know-how will come along to give more concrete advice! :-D

I'm sure that you will get some experienced feed back here.
My guy is staying in the below 120 bg range but I am still supporting him on a very tiny amount. We are not quite OTJ. We are to this point after gradual reductions from 1u to .5u to .25u to a current fat .1u.
My thought would be to try and get more data - keep checking BG in AM, PM and some in between. Rather than dropping to nothing from 1U reduce to a smaller amount and watch numbers.

I would be hard pressed to draw any conclusion other than that the numbers that you do have on your spreadsheet look good.

I think if you could consistently get more data throughout the day, we'll be better able to help you sort out whether Sassy may need some insulin, like Amy is doing with Pedro, or if this is a OTJ (off the juice) trial. What we try to do is provide insulin support for as long as possible in order to help the pancreas heal as much as possible before discontinuing the insulin. Let's see what some others have to say.
