Hi Everyone,
I'm off to paddle through the flooded woods. Edward, who has a bum shoulder, will stay and keep Rusty company. Back later with news of the paddle. It's a little scary, but definitely worth doing!

Rusty is fine and had a good night. All Ps in place. Good breakfast. Good shot. See you later.

Hi again,
It looks like Rusty surfed green all day and is still green at PMPS. It was a beautiful day here. Even the cellar doesn't look as bad (Edward did lots of mopping). When I got back from the paddle, Edward was relaxing on the steps that go down to our garden and Rusty was napping on his chest. They had several good brushings/combs and a nice day together.

I had a wonderful day on the water with a small group (6 paddlers). We would have had more, but some people couldn't get here because of road closures. We paddled through 4 linked ponds, into flooded meadows, through the trees and bushes into a brook and paddled a lot of the brook (usually there isn't enough water in this brook to paddle on). Then over a flooded bridge and we paddled down a flooded road!! Had lunch in the forest on the riverbank. Saw lots of birds. Wonderful tall balsam fir trees all around. It was a great day. I wish I had taken a camera, but I thought it would be too iffy so left it home!

Sorry not to get to many condos today. I'm tired (5 hours of paddling followed by a stint in the cellar, bailing). We're going to watch a movie on TV.

Sounds like Edward and Rusty did too - nothing better than kitty relaxing on your chest, YAY!

No, not Batman! We watched "Some Came Running". I hadn't remembered how bad it is! Ah, the 1950s!! It reminded me of "Payton Place", except Payton Place was better.
