Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night, but once again didn't eat all of his nighttime food. This morning he had a combination platter of FF T&G and Wellness Chicken and so far has eaten quite a bit (when I held the bowl). He (and I) fell asleep during our schmooze. I'm still tired from my accident (and from yesterday's little walk--only 3 miles). But it's time to get back on track for both Rusty and me. Today is going to be the last day of mild weather. Tomorrow we're supposed to have 3-4 inches of heavy wet snow. Just in time for Easter Sunday!

Off now to walk to the post office. bbl,

Wishing all a good day and sending healing vines to all in need.

Hearing you talk about your walk makes me want to do some walking today. I have really been wanting to get outside, but it is still a bit to cold to comfortably walk outside without being bundled up. I will probably try to get on the treadmill this afternoon. I use to get 15,000 - 25,000 steps a day but for the past several months I have been lucky to get 5,000 - 8,000 steps. And I can really tell the different, my body is just not happy siting for as long as I have been lately.

Nice start today, I hope Tess comes back down to join Rusty. I bet he'll be i the Lagoon in no time,

Have you tried raising his dish up. sometime they can get acid reflux bending over to eat.

Yes, he always has his dish raised (his automat, where he eats most of his meals, is raised; but I may get another board to put under it).

Hi again,
Rusty is feeling much better today. When we left for the post office he was in his perch over the radiator (yesterday he hardly left his bed). When we got back from the post office he was in a big box we are planning to recycle. He came out into the mud room and then even went outside and did a "tour" along the bricks on the south side of the house (one of his favorite outings; just checking on things, especially under the bay window). He hadn't been outside since November, so this was great to see. He then ate about half of his lunch (FF T&G and Merrick's chicken paté) and sat with us while we ate ours. Now he is taking his "down time" in his little bed.

Yo Kitties, Tomorrow is the Full Pink Moon. Come to my house this afternoon to help plan our full moon party. I have a secret destination in mind: a tropical island in the Caribbean. What do you all think about that?

~Rusty

I'm glad Rusty is feeling better. It's always disconcerting when they don't want to move from their bed all day. Looks like he's patrolling the shore today.

"Only 3 miles"?! How far do you normally walk? I used to do 3-5 when I walked outside, but it took such a big chunk out of my day that I started doing walk at home videos and got in the habit of only doing 2-3 miles. I haven't really done any since before Christmas, and it shows! There just isn't enough time in the day anymore, with all my kitties requiring such attention. I hate exercise, but I actually miss those walks. Maybe someday I can start them up again....

Yo Rusty! I's on my way to your place. Mama says to be sure to head home before the snow starts. What's snow? - Cinco

I'm glad Rusty is feeling better today. Wow on the heavy, wet snow.

I'll be there. I can't wait to plan the party.

I thought I was the only person left that walked over to get the mail! :) Sometimes I do wish they would deliver it though especially when it's 40 below.
Its so great he got outside today. Spring weather is good for the soul.

Yo Rusty I am going to get the wheel chair for Scooter and we will be there to plan!!

Nice to hear about Rusty's outdoor adventures. A good sign. (the snow upcoming? not so much!)

I don't have much choice about walking. Dog, you know. Enjoy his enjoyment!

Iz party time already! Ize so in, dunno about dis pink moon tho, da beans dey don seem to like pink so much!

Rusty is having a flat blue day. He ate pretty well, but not enough. We'll see how he does tonight on his dinner while watching TV.

I think 3 miles was too much for me yesterday (and another 2 today to the post office and back). My leg muscles on the side where I fell are sore. I know this is probably DOMS (delayed onset muscle syndrome), but that doesn't make it any more fun. Had to do some Easter shopping today. We are getting together with another couple for an Easter dinner and splitting the cooking.

Happy Passover, Happy Easter!

Ella & Rusty

p.s. I saw a robin in our backyard this afternoon!! Can spring really be here?

Great to hear that Rusty is feeling better. Now if only his bean was back in tip top shape. You still drinking the sour cherry juice?

Yo Rusty, got my snorkel and spear ready for some reef fishin' tomorrow! Can you find an island with a lagoon? ~Neko

Tillie thinks the island party is a great idea! We've had warm weather here (several record highs last week), but it's never too warm for her. Is Rusty in search of the ultimate lagoon?
Liz

Great planning session. I's working on pontoons for the bus already! The beans tell me we should call it by the "Grass Moon" name, sez Pink Moon may gives us ideas! Huh??? -- Tess

Yup! It doesn't do much for my injuries, but I think it makes the arthritis in my hands better.

Hi again,
Rusty is maintaining his low blue day. Tonight he finished his dinner and all seems well. Off to bed. Tomorrow is a big day for the Kitties!!

I'm glad you and Rusty are both feeling better today! Sending extra appy vines his way.

Hey Rusty, I'm packing my beach blanket! Can we drink coconut milk straight from the coconuts?
