I didn't think it would be quie this bad, but with Tess's poor appy we wanted to play it safe last nigh. I guess we should have tried at least a BCS dose. She is happy and cuddly this morning, but still no CPC. She will get over it as she always does though. :YMSIGH: I wish i knew what was up w/ the appy, it isn't gone just less than before that long low run. One thing for sure, the recent reductions does NOT mean what every one was afraid to speak out loud! :roll:

WCR Just 4 Ps, Clean Plate Club, nice morning but this bean is finally going in to see about her cataract surgery, I hope it will make it easier to se this fircking tiny dose when I draw it!

Hi Ann, just curious: what is guar gum and what it is used for in kitties?

Hi, Kat, guar gum is used as a thickener. it also draws water into the colon, similar to Miralax, but not as strongly.

Ouch on the "fur shot" number this morning, but sometimes it just has to be done. Paws crossed she gets back on track soon and appy increases.

Good luck on organizing the cataract surgery. My DM had it for both eyes and said the worst part was the drops she had to put in before and afterwards. She had major improvements in sight.

Hi Ann - sorry I missed you yesterday....

whoa on that amps! well yes on that unanswered question... It's good to see she is on her way down, and slowly. A nice slow slide down to better numbers. I've always thought it was hard to know what to do: skip, BCS, etc when one has a low PS numbers with a little appy situation. You did what you thought best, I would have done the same. She will, and is, recovering soon enough. Boy can I ever elate to how painful that amps was. Wish I had an answer for you on the appy. Looks like you've tried all options, hopefully she will get over it soon.
