Well, darn, I wonder if I missed something this morning? I wasn't expecting that 64 at +6, or I'd have tested sooner. Guess Cinco just wants to keep me on my toes! That also answers my question about whether the 9% carb breakfast would spike him: NOT!
Today's test food was Felidae Platinum. I really liked the phos (190), but was unsure about that carb %. To my surprise, everyone loved it! Since apparently it isn't a problem for Cinco, I'll be adding that to my playlist! Hooray!
The bandage was off again last night. I picked up some gauze tubes at the drug store and put one over the bandage, thinking that might help, but Houdini had it off in about five minutes! We are getting perilously close to the reappearance of the cone of shame. Gosh, I hate to do it, but I'm running out of ideas! I may try making the bandage tighter tonight, so he can't slide it up like he did this morning. :YMSIGH:
Sasha has been snuffling and occasionally sneezing again - not as bad as before, but bad enough that I broke out the Zyrtex yesterday afternoon. It did seem to help, but it didn't last as long as the Benadryl did. I really had a struggle getting it into her, even with the cat sack and popper. I'm always so afraid I'm going to hurt her when we wrestle like that. Later she was doing that head trembling thing again, and I really felt awful. Since this is fairly recent, I decided to discontinue the supplements I've added to her meals recently, the SEB and the L-lysine, just to be sure one of them isn't causing it. While the SEB does seem to be helping her tummy, the L-lysine doesn't seem to be making any difference with her sinus/breathing issues. If the shaking goes away, I may restart the SEB to see if that brings it back. If I can't get rid of it, I guess we'll be visiting the vet!
We just got back from taking (as in having towed) our truck to the Toyota dealer to have it (hopefully) fixed. Next up is a visit to the doctor for my DH. On Sunday he was up on a ladder in the garage, redoing some wiring, when he made a wrong move and bent his right knee backwards
 . He already has knee problems as a longtime skier (and being overweight), and he said he's done it before, so he refused my urging to go to the ER. After two days of intense pain, swelling and interrupted sleep, he caved today and I managed to get him an appointment this afternoon, so off we go. Luckily, the winter bowling season has just ended, so there was no bowling Monday night. Unluckily, the season ending sweepers in Reno are this weekend! We'll still go, but it looks like he won't be bowling!
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG:
