Yesterday. Caber Yr 2 Day 207

Her dose was fattened up so now on the quarters.

Tripper to Urgent Care in few hours. Depending on how it goes, I might take her to Ollie's practice. This is ridiculous.

For whatever reason Ollie's ears have remained clean for quite some now. That's why I'm thinking food is culprit. Tripper will only eat the FF beef and VE (which I don't give often). Ollie eats other flavors. The FF beef I think has changed. It smells more and the consistency is wetter.

Ollie....come on down to the beach please!
Sending vetty-vines to Tripper; I hope the visit goes well! Do her ears bother her?

She has gunky ears always has. Previous cat Fred and Smokey also. Smokey was yeast and tresaderm cleared it up and Trippers but it keeps coming back. Fred was already gone when I found out it was yeast. He suffered so much with the ears.I

Tripper, I admit I have gotten lax from cleaning them. Once husband let her in basement, I rarely saw her. She always runs from me and hides. I got a glimpse last month and saw both ears really bad and bleeding, husband claims he didn't notice yet Tripper is bonded with him and sits on him in basement. Anyways to get treated with some 2 week antibiotic ointment. Helped some, did another round. Saturday was clean them day and she has them all scratched up and down the cheeks. They are weepy. Fur on ears is gone, but vet said that was stress from other cat (PJ kept attacking her) Tripper was feral when we found her 17 yrs ago, and if she's happier in basement, nothing wrong with that. Now I bought her up into house so can stay in top of things with her. I prefer none of the cats downstairs. But husband let's them down and now letting Tux down there.

He always sabotage any progress I make with the cats. I think Tripper might come home with come this time. Both ears are pretty torn up. Wonder how she would take to booties on instead.

For Tripper :):bighug:

So after sitting a vets for a little over 2 hrs (just for ears yet) and $400 latter. I have another bottle of tresaderm ear drops. So she has just a little bit of infection deep down in one ear still. She has scratched both ears pretty bad and going down the neck. Dr thinks it could be more allergy related vs bacterial (which I was starting to think also). So I'm not doing culture, going to spend the money on allergy blood panel. They cleaned her ears out, trimmed her nails and gave a short acting steroid shot (lasts up to 48 hrs) to stop her itching. They said she was scratching pretty bad. The steroid starts with a d but since their internet was down I don't know what it was until they email me the invoice.

Now the facility where dad is has 3 residents that are positive and 1 employee. 2 residents in hospital. The other is still in facility and now has one on one care. They are trying to confine residents to their rooms but because it is their home residents do not have to obey.

Hugs to you Paula, I'm sure it must be incredibly scary knowing there's infection at your Father's place. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Poor little Tripper, I hope the steroids work quickly while you figure out what's causing it. :bighug:

My n95 mask is waiting at the facility for me. It's nice to pick up an extra day, but a bad time to do so. Rumor has it, in order to keep employees coming to work we are getting $3 more an hour as long as we are in lock down.

Even though I'm there I can't see my dad unless he comes down. He just doesn't have it in him to make the trip down.

Tomorrow I work. All the food bowls for cats are full since they are not eating this food much. So Ollie has plenty to choose from. And her feeder is set. I'm sure I will be up during the night to check her.
