Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night and was eager for his breakfast. He went tearing down the stairs, meowing for us to hurry up. We had a good test, good shot, breakfast combo plate of FF T&G and Wellness Turkey, the "lung treat", and a nice schmooze. Rusty is snoozing in his little bed by the radiator (31 degrees this morning). I'm doing laundry in preparation for our trip to NY City tomorrow. Rusty has his best AMPS number in over a week. I've been working to get him back to better numbers, but the numbers will undoubtedly go back up again because these trips to, and stays in, NYC are always stressful/boring for him. But we have things to do there and must go, so where we go, Rusty goes too!

It is a beautiful, sunny morning and temperature is supposed to be in the mid 60s today. We will certainly get out in our canoe this afternoon. We need to check on the condition of a channel between two ponds for a trip we are leading a week from tomorrow. It may be clogged with debris (or still be iced up). Rusty will enjoy some outdoor time today after it warms up a bit. He had a lovely time yesterday, sitting in front of the chipmunk's doorways, waiting!

Wishing everyone a lovely day and sending healing vines to all who need some,

Ella & Rusty

Hey Kitties. I'm going to the City tomorrow and hope that my friends will join me there. Tess has made "Mannie was Here" plaques and we are going to put them up in all the spots we like to visit--the hot dog stands, the ferry, the library, the museum, the rooftop, the headquarters of the Blue Mannie Group on Lafayette St. (see photo below). See you there. Tuesday will be Central Park.

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O)

What a great amps for Rusty - so so nice to see, and I bet he finds the lagoon today. I remember how those NYC trips alwyas send his numbers back up, but I will hope that maybe this trip he won't feel the need. Paws crossed. paws crossed too for a safe journey too, and no Rusty car sickness. Right Rusty?

How I miss all the fun those kitties had on those NYC trips - LOVE the Blue Mannie Group Place. What a find that was!!!  Love the Mannie was here signs too - well done guys! that would make Mannie very happy. WooHOO on Tuesday in Central park. Hot dogs and tourists! SWEET! It is great to see that the gang still parties and carries on with the adventures. :-D

Good luck on your paddle today. Excellent idea on checking it out before you lead the paddle next week. Hope that goes well, no ice, no debris.

Enjoy that mid 60's today. I hope Rusty can too, it sounds like he had a good one yesterday.

Re: 4/28 Rusty AMPS 128

Nice! :thumbup They always do get to nice numbers, just before we beans do something to mess things up! Sounds like a fun day for you today, i hope the channel is clear.

Have a good trip! And Rusty, no car sickness! Just a thought, when I was reading up on Cerenia for Tess, it said it is used for motion sickness for dogs. I wonder if a little would help Rusty when he travels?

Rusty! The Plaques are all ready, we can put them up everywhere! And the Ferry, don't forget the ferry! -- Tess

Re: 4/28 Rusty AMPS 128

Great WRR today. I love that he is zooming down the stairs so the lung treat is working well. It's helping Your other best boy, too :-D

I hope Rustys numbers won't go too high on this trip. Gracie and Tobey are packing their bags for NYC. Tobey has been eating like a pig to stretch his tummy for maximum hot dog consumption. Cool on the Blue Mannie Group HQ photo!

Have fun on your canoeing! I bet the water is freezing! My pool is in sun all day and it's still only about 65 degrees water temp.

Hey, Rusty, it's time to throw your beans a curve ball - stay in the lagoon for the trip! Won't that be funny?  ~Z

Have a fun paddle! I'm off to bike after Z's next test. 70 and calm winds here today. :-D

Nice report on Rusty this morning. I hope the trip doesn't make his BG go too high and he doesn't have any car sickness. Enjoy your paddle and have a safe trip tomorrow.

Can't wait to go to NYC and put up the plaques and eat some hot dogs.

Hi again,
Rusty surfed in the lagoon all afternoon and the beans had a lovely paddle. The channel had one tree down and we had to thread our way through the branches. But we made it, and we took some of the smaller--eye gougers--off with the little saw we brought along. It was a beautiful, calm day and the large pond was like glass (very unusual, since this is one of the windier bodies of water in the area). We met 2 friends on the water.

So we are all set for tomorrow's departure. Rusty's "carsickness" is more mental than actual. He has taken to vomiting (or trying to vomit) before we even start the car to leave the driveway. After the vomit (or attempted vomit) he is usually fine. Unlike Stu, Rusty will not eat or drink on the trip (6 hours long). We offer him his food and water at every rest stop, but he ignores it. Thanks for the cerenia tip, Ann. I'll be sure to check it out, but it's too late for this trip. (And if he vomits, he may get rid of that hairball--a plus!)

No plans to go to the opera this time. I have 2 medical check-ups and we both have our dental checkups. We will see friends, and on Tues. and Thurs. I will bicycle with my old group. We will both spend some time in the libraries. We return home on Saturday, in time to recuperate and get ready to lead the paddle on Monday.

I'm taking my iPad so I'll be able to stay in touch with the Board (and so Rusty can report on the kitty adventures).

Thanks for visiting us today. Sorry I didn't get to many condos.

Ella & Rusty
