Hi all -- Good Morning LL! ~O)

Yesterday's Condo

Wow what a start for Mannie today. Yikes! - a 501. We did not get the expected drop in numbers from the effects of dental anesthesia. The poor boy has been in the high number range most of yesterday, and through this AM. amps @ 501 ohmygod_smile , +2 @ 461 ohmygod_smile -- good news is that he seems to be coming down after this mornings shot - so I hope it continues. I resumed his normal dose of 2.75, after reducing yesterday for his dental.

WCR: Mannie is a little off this morning - I expect due to his high BG levels. Just not his usual perky self -- though he did want to go outside at the crack of dawn (yawn!), so I think that is good.

Off now to get this day started.

Ohhhh, Mannie! Hope this morning's shot brings you down soon and you start feeling better soon. Is he still on pain meds from the dental? That can have an effect too.

Hi Ann - no pain meds.... He really didn't have any issues that required more than standard cleaning, so - no meds. well, they did trim a small part of a gum - perhaps that still is a little sore, though one would not know that looking at his appetite: scarf scarf scarf. I'm hoping that it is just his BG level - he has a tendency to be a bit slow when he is that high. Other than that, normal ville in Mannie-land.

Gabby's numbers weren't effected by the anesthesia from her dental. Some cats' numbers drop; some don't. I agree that the numbers are likely due to the two half doses yesterday.

Hi Sienne - yeah, not with Mannie either - duh!

But he is coming down, so good I think. We have a 364 at +4 this morning. better. :-D

HI Michelle and Mannie!!! Wow so sorry to see a 501! but he is bringing himself down which is good. I am sure it is because of the change in the doses that got him all wonky. I am sure he will be back on track in a day or two when the shed fills back up!!!! also it is a full moon tonight!!! Hope Mannie will be at the party tonight!!!! :-D

Hi Michelle and Scrabble! Nice numbres for Scrabble - I am SO HAPPY for you both - you've worked so hard.

Yep, the 501 was fairly ugly ohmygod_smile Mannie is already on his way back down - 192 at pmps, which i think is outstanding. dancing_cat
I am sure his wonky numbers were due to his half doses yesterday - so it is good to see him getting back on track.

Mannie is SO EXCITED for the party - he has his map quest in hand, party gear ready, and headed on out the door. He wondered how long it would take him to get there... fll_moon and party hearty! I told him to be sure and look up Scrabble so they can compare notes on this BG/FD thing. :lol:

Well here we go --- what a drop from pmps - down to 112, and it's only +2 :lol: knew i shouldn't have let him go to the full moon party! oh boy - might be a longggg night! i did give a little food at +2 to cushion this particular cliff dive.

WCR: Mannie is back at it - fully recovered from his ordeal with yesterday's dental. happy, content, purring, much better since his numbers hit the blue zone.

and to think i was stressed out about yesterday - what a complete 180! Mr Drama is back at it again. looks like a poke-a-thon for this evening.... one really should be careful what one wishes for. ;-)

that's quite a drop (the whole day!). Keep an eye on this, looks like Mannie might be asking for a dosecrease soon. :smile:

yep - do you believe it? we are now at 76 at +3... going to be lather and rinse here soon....

gave a little food at +3 to try and cushion the drop....

Geez, Mannie gets the rainbow kitty award today! Do keep lathering and rinsing. This could be a busy night for you.

oh yes, we are at 55 @ +4. I had to go with MC with a little gravy, about 3/4 tsp - he just would not eat anything else... bummer, I'd hope to get through this with just LC. oh well, will test again at + 4.5
 
+5 56... and we are down to gravy on the finger tip. poor guy just is not hungry. but we seem to be holding at mid-50's.

The MC looks like it has Manny surfing in the 50s. There's probably a good chance he would have dropped lower if you could have gotten him to eat LC. I think these are great numbers for surfing, no matter what. Great cycle and good job of managing Mannie's numbers.

I really had hoped to go thru this with LC. He just did not want any part of it, and it was his favorite food. He just was not hungry - and I don't think I had overfed him today. I wonder if part of this is his not having much food yesterday, due to the dental, and that today there just wasn't enough room for the normal amt? i dunno -

but he is surfing the 50's, and i think you're right - it's a good surf, LC or MC - i would have liked to have seen where he would have gone, safely gone, with just the LC. :smile: Mannie had other ideas.

and this brings on my normal comment - pul-lease: no trampolines, no bungees, no cliff diving come amps. Mannie: you listening? cat_pet_icon
