Morning LL!! A round of ~O) ~O) ~O) for everyone!

I hope all is well with everyone this morning. I really don't have much to report today, but thought I'd share some photos from my walk to the shore yesterday. It was a low tide @ -2.5 feet. It was great to be able to walk the "sea floor" and see some of the critters we get here: lots of anemones, starfish, crabs... Fun times! This is a trail I hike all the time, so not too much new in the line of photos, perhaps maybe the shore stuff. Here's the photo link: Meadowdale Low Tide

Things are going well here. Elsa seems to have mellowed some, less looking for Mannie. It's good I think.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone. :-D

Hi, Michelle ~O)
Those are AMAZING photos ~ you're so fortunate to live in such a diverse area!
Give scritches to Elsa. Glad she seems to be doing well.
Have a great day!

Re: 4/28 Loose Lips: Sunday Greetings

Morning Michelle and thanks for the coffee, much here needed here today! ~O)~O) ~O) Beautiful pics of Meadowdale and the sea critters. How neat to be able to capture pics of all those sea critters with the low tide. You live in such a beautiful spot with all the trails and places to visit and the seasons.
Glad to hear Elsa is adapting. Does she play with his nanners?
Have a great day. What's on the agenda for today, no chores I hope! :-D

Morning everyone! Now that I am more awake.... ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) , cimmamum, one of Mannie's specialties!

Hi Kathie - thanks! We do get some great ones.

Hi Josie - THX, I think so too: we are very fortunate here. We can see minus tides and on the same day spend time on a mountain. fantastic! Will do on the Elsa scritches! She loves that stuff. :-D

HI Ann - Anytime on the brew - the pot is always on here.   I think so too - I love the low tides. We get some very cool anemones here, not many yesterday, and I hope that will change as the season progresses. Yes on Elsa - she does play with them, but nothing compared to Mannie. He lived and breathed nanners. No, no chores today... I think I will take another shore walk, we have another low tide today at 1:30. Yesterday I went south, today I think I will head north.

And for fun: I thought I'd include another Mannie and DGS video - this is my absolute favorite of them together. A Mannie Classic.

I remember that video of Nicholas and Mannie. It IS a classic. It shows what a team they always were. I love that video, Michelle. Thanks for reposting it.

Good morning Michelle - I hope you are enjoying the glorious sunny day that we are. Enjoy the day.

Great photos from your hike yesterday. You get an amazing variety of sea life so close to the shore. The vid is cute - Nicholas has grown up so much in a year.

Hi Michelle. Thank you for sharing more great pictures and the video is awesome.

Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning, Michelle,
Wow on those tidal pictures! It is so neat to see all those residents of the sea. And a heron, too. And then there are the spring wildflowers in the woods. So lovely. I can't wait for our spring wildflowers to appear. One of my friends leads a "ladyslipper" hike each year to a place where there are hundreds of ladyslippers.

That video of Nicholas & Mannie having lunch is priceless. I like it when Mannie reaches out and snags those goldfish or cheerios. And how he doesn't even notice that Nicholas is putting the food on his back. What a great movie this is! :-D

Have a great walk today. I'm glad that you aren't going to do any chores. We've got the canoe up on the car and are ready to leave after lunch. Did a little garden clean-up this morning.

Hugs,

Ella & Rusty, who sends greetings to his Auntie Michelle

Morning Michelle!

Great pics. I love the starfish and the crabs but your photos of the piers with the barnacles are very artistic. It's so nice to have the mountains and the ocean so close. Spectacular.

I also remember that video....it's a classic. I'm so happy you have these wonderful moments memorialized in videos. Amazing how Nick has grown ....seeing today's video and yesterday's. thanks for sharing.

Enjoy your walk today. Mike and I were talking about how drastic the change in your life and schedule must be. I'm sure it is quite an adjustment.

Morning Linda ~O) ~O) ~O) ah me too on the video. What a team they were.

Hi Liz ~O) ~O) ~O) so agreed on that!

Hi Wendy ~O) ~O) ~O) well, we hope for that glorious sunny weather. we have a little drizzle this morning, but it should be over and done with shortly. We hope. Then off I go: back tot he shore for another low tide, SWEET! Yes on the variety of sea life here, better than some of the other beaches in the area, not too sure why that is, but we do get lots. I will not complain one little bit. :-D Oh yes on Nicholas - it is amazing ho much eh has grown in a year. Really takes me back when I watched this vid today.

Hi John ~O) ~O) ~O) You are welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed them. :-D

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the pics! I hope to get back out there and get moper today. I will head the opposite direction and see if I can get some clam, crab etc pics today. Maybe some eagle pics too, if they are out. We get alot of heron here. it is quite common to go down there when the beaches are free of people, and find them all fishing the waters edge, We have alot of very small fish and flounders that they just love. THX on the vid. I love it for all the reasons you stated. it is so Mannie and nicholas, and very indicative of their relationship. I so love the pets he gave Mannie. Enjoy your canoeing today! no chores for me! not today.... :-D

Hi Marje ~O) ~O) ~O) oh yes on the schedule adjustment. One does not realize how much time one spends with these sugar cats. well... more so the past two months with Mannie, as he was just so sick, and it took alot of time/commitment just to do basic things. So not having that has really left me wondering how to adjust things and the schedule. Keeping the hours though - I find that I really am a morning person. It is nice though that now I do not have to rush home, or cut an adventure short. Not that I ever minded having to come back for Mannie, enjoyed the time we had, but it is a relief to know if I am on a trail I can stay as long as need be, not be late for a shoot and see that evil eye he used to give me when I was late.  . -- THX too on the pics and the vid. I love that pier down there,as do the sea life - it is wonderful when the tides are a minus tide, then one can get under it and see all that lives there. I know on Nicholas: grown up alot hasn't he!

Hi Michelle! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Great photos! The area where you live is so beautiful. I think I would take hikes all the time if I lived there. Love the video of Nicholas and Mannie, too, so sweet. Nicholas is a real sweetheart. They say you learn everything you need to know in Kindergarten (i.e., sharing) but I'd say Nicholas got a jump start and learned a lot from Mannie :) Glad to hear Elsa has mellowed out some. It must be rough on her, too. Hope you all have a wonderful day :)

Those pictures are great. It's amazing the critters you can see when the tide goes out.

I love the video with Mannie and Nicholas. It really does capture their relationship.

I'm glad Elsa seems to be doing better.

Hi Michelle,

I am fairly new to the board, but wanted to say what a wonderful video of Mannie and your DGS. Brought tears to my eyes. Your photos are amazing, gives me a peak of another part of this great country. Hope you and yours continue healing.
Thank you.

As always, stunning pictures!!! Those starfish are SO cool!!!

I remember that video, too...cracks me up. How sweet those two were together!!! Thanks for re-sharing it.

Omigosh Michelle.....those pics are fantastic! And I think I'm lucky, 'cause I get to see a cow, when I go for a walk

I love that video of Nicholas and Mannie. :-D I love that Mannie reaches out and grabs the cracker.

That seems to be everyone's favorite video of Nichlas and Mannie. The "Dynamic Duo". Nicholas is so gentle for a little one and Mannie is so responsive to him.

Shore pictures at low tide were great. Amazing the things we can see at that time.

Thanks for the happy reminder.

HI All - oh my gracious... look at all these posts! thank you guys! :-D :-D :-D

Hi Courtney :-D :-D :-D THX on the pics! oh yes on the hikes - I would too if I could. There is such diversity here, from oceans to rivers and mountains. Great stuff! THX too on Nicholas, and Mannie. I think so too. Mannie had such a gentle heart, share d so much with Nicholas. They were a such a pair! THX on Elsa - things are getting better for her.

Hi Carla - THX on the pics! Oh yes on the low tides - I love them! Such wonderful finds. Me to on that vid. it is my fav for the reason you stated: it does show their bond, what good friends they were. THX too on Elsa, I am glad she is too.

Hi Jane - Tanks for visiting! THX on the video, and welcome aboard here too! I am so glad you liked the phiotos - YAY! It is fun to see what the rest of this country of ours looks like. One of my fav things to do: photo look. Thanks too on the healing - we are getting there.

Hi Amy - THX in the pics - you are too cool. Aren't those sun starfish the coolest things? we get alot of them here - so so rewarding when find one. THX too on the vid - it's a good one, imho... love that kid!

Hi Barb - You are too funny! A cow! well cows are cool too! THX on the vid - it is my fav. Me too on the paw that reaches: SCORE!! I also love it when DGS puts those crackers on his back.

Hi Barbara - I know - i think it is too.Know for sure it is my fav one! It is as you say, gentle and responsive: they both are. Any time on the happy reminder. I look for them all the time. :-D

Did Nicholas ever get any lunch? It sure looks like Mannie got more than his fair share. (And was Nicholas petting Mannie or wiping off his hands?)

Hi Rhiannon :-D THX on the pics. And I so agree on Elsa. I was worried about her. but she seems to be doing well. YAY!

Hi Sienne -   on the hand wiping. I think we had 90% pets, and a couple of hand wipes in there too. He still wipes his hands on whatever is in front of him....  and yes on that lunch. Mannie always knew that kid had good fuds, never missed an opportunity to try and snatch a bite or two. I think that day Mannie scored on all the chicken,. Nicholas didnlt care he just wanted the fishie crackers. I thought it was a kick when he thought he'd give Mannie one or two by placing them on his back, and then decided NOPE: i'm eating those. Love this vid: they had such a great relationship: best buds.
