Well we had a full blown fight last night, someone did not think he deserved ear pokes, treats, or shots. There was some growling, hissing, very angry meowing and ears that stayed back and down for at least a few hours afterwards. First fight since we started this journey together. I tried talking nice, i tried telling Leo firmly that it was going to happen no matter what, then i got mad and he cooperated?!?! Arggggghhhhhh i don't want to have to get mad at him but it worked. But i sure paid the price after.....someone wouldn't look at me, i got zero cuddles last night, so in other words i got the cold shoulder......he knows how to hold a grudge. Then we had the "talk" where i told him that he had to want to quit the diabetes and get that pancreas working and quit the juice and it was that simple....no more shots....and just a few ear pokes once in awhile.
Then, this morning it was a different kitty, someone woke up on the right side of the bed. No fighting the shot this morning, he ate then curled up on my arm and i put the needle in and pushed the plunger and.........nothing, no meowing, no squirming, no muss, no fuss. And....i even got cuddles after.
