After four cycles, each less responsive to the insulin than the last, I’m taking him back up to 1.75 units this morning. Days-long bounces just aren’t Jack’s normal anymore, and he’s crazy susceptible to glucose toxicity if he stays high more than a few cycles. I’m willing to try it, as there is actually a possibility that the last time with the near-crash was a fluke - that day he did come down way faster than normal, and so I suspect some of the dose got into a capillary or the like. The first dose of 1.5f after 1.75 had a beautiful cycle… which suggests that in between might be ideal, if 1.75 still proves to be too much. (Measuring in between 1.5f and 1.75 will be fun.) But he needs to come down off the ceiling now. But let’s see what 1.75 will do today.
