All is well here :-D Leroy is long done with meds and still being his usual ADD crazy self @-) I saw Traci's post about her AC experience for Trinket. I've been toying with the idea of having an AC talk to Leroy so I can understand why Leroy is, well, Leroy @-) Although I'm not sure Leroy's ADD will allow him to talk to an AC for more than a few seconds before his mind wanders off

Emma somehow got a bone fragment from the NV raw stuck on a tooth earlier this week  She licked her bowl clean and then went inside a box to lip smack and paw at her mouth and jump a little. I pulled her out and looked in her mouth. Didn't see anything at first so I let Emma go. She went back in the box and did more lip smacking and mouth pawing and jumping. Smack smack smack, paw, jump. I pulled her back out and pried her mouth wide open. Then I saw the bone fragment stuck sideways on a back tooth  I pulled the bone fragment off her tooth and then Emma was fine. It was a sharp flat sliver, not quite 1/4 inch long. It didn't occur to me until long after I threw the bone fragment out that I should have kept it and complained to NV about it ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile So now I'm carefully smushing apart the NV raw chicken at feeding time to pick out bone fragments and saving the big pieces. I haven't found one that is similar in shape and size to the one that got stuck on Emma's tooth @-) I've seen them before and Emma either crunches them with no problem or leaves them in the bowl.

You might want to consider contacting them through the online customer service. They have always been great with me regarding my questions and concerns. I've seen pretty big bone fragments in their raw food too. Atlas usually leaves them in the bowl if their too big. Slivers though I'd be concerned about...

wow, i think that'd be kinda scary to have bone slivers showing up. yikes. glad you were there to rescue emma!

i always like hearing about leroy's add! he cracks me up. it's very B-O-Y.

You can attach files to the online NV customer comment form. I'm waiting to get a similar bone fragment so I can attach the picture to the form. I've only noticed the big fragments in the organic chicken, never in the beef. I'm glad Emma didn't need a trip to the ER. Had that happened, I would definitely make a huge complaint to NV and get them to pay the vet bill. And, this may sound weird, I'm kind of glad that it happened to Emma and not Leroy. Leroy just has issues with everything and would have definitely needed a trip to the ER ohmygod_smile
