I left during the day on the 26th and DGF spent the evening with the cats. She texted me around 11:30 pm to say the cats have been fighting. Well, it wasn't really a fight -- Billy usually hisses at Bella who then runs away, but that night she approached him and scratched him on the nose even though he was acting calm. The poor baby was even bleeding a little.
His numbers were high on the 27th : I'm guessing it is due to stress. When I came back home, he wouldn't come up the stairs anymore. He stayed on the couch in the basement (which is my couch, the one we have upstairs being DGF's). Usually when he's feeling a little down and his tail is pointing down, I just have to call his name and blow him a kiss for him to feel better, but it wouldn't work yesterday. Things began to get a little better during the evening, though : we had diner in front of the Tv so we spent a lot of time with him. He played a little, and at some point he was laying on one part of the couch and Bella was sitting at the opposite side. No fights, no hisses, just snuggles.
This morning I had some problems making him eat breakfast. Bella was eating in Bebe's bowl (usually she hates wet food, so until things are settled around the apartment, we let Bebe & Bella share bowls when they feel like it. Bella's bowl is on the top of the old Tv. She gets there without a problem, Bebe gets there with a little more efforts and Billy isn't good enough of a jumper to get that high.) Bebe's bowl isn't so far away from Billy's. The guys have decided Billy is the alpha male and they haven't had any troubles for the last few days. I believe he didn't want to eat knowing that Bella was so close. She walked away and I encouraged him to eat, so he eventually did, but he didn't even eat 1/4 of his food. We'll see if hunger kicks in later on today.
Well, that is about it for now. Stressful times, but Billy is doing pretty good nonetheless. I just hope they all learn to get along soon.
I wish everyone a nice Fursday.
ETA : I forgot to say that DGF didn't shoot at 126 because I wouldn't be home that day and that I had no idea what amount of insulin Billy should have received. I was thinking stress numbers might come down on their own--
