Hi Everyone,
Getting a late start today. Rusty woke us up with a meow about an hour before the alarm. I think he was having a dream. He didn't eat much of his nighttime food until we got up this morning, when he dove into it, and then wasn't hungry for breakfast (which he finally ate just before lunchtime). A weird day. Again, he is up instead of down at +5. Mystery cat is being a :cat:.

Still cold, damp, and drizzly outside. Edward and I are about to go for a walk around Moody Pond and to the post office. bbl. Hope all is well in L&L today.

Ella, do you let him eat two hours or sooner to amps? I pull the food before I hit the sack but there are mornings Max meows for aat least 30-45 before I have to get up. If you do feed does it make a difference in his amps?

Yep, wrong way, LagoonMeister! These cats just love to keep us guessing....it's their job and they are darned good at it. Have a great day, Ella!

Rusty, sweetie, the lagoon is the other direction! Your services are required there, so please head that way immediately (but safely).

You two are very dedicated walkers, aren't you. I enjoy walking, but don't know if I'd want to head out when it was cold damp and drizzly! Hope you are now warm and dry!

Hi Elise, Yes, he free feeds. I think it is more important for him to eat than to worry about whether or not it will spike his PS. I'm sure his AMPS is affected by finishing up his nighttime food less than 2 hours before AMPS and for that reason I don't put too much stock in his AMPS number unless it seems too low. (He usually doesn't eat, or only eats a little of his +9 snack, 2 hours before PMPS.)
I think his current pattern is owing not only to eating less than 2 hours before AMPS (which he always does), but also to AMPS being a rising number because of lower numbers than he is used to overnight (i.e., a bounce) and that the +5 is a continuation of that rise. Then he hangs, or starts down. His "normal" AM-cycle pattern is for +5 to be lower than AMPS.
At present I'm not going to do anything; just observe. He needs the food!

Actually, Rusty was pretty much under the weather all day. He slept a lot. Poor appetite. Middle blue numbers. Fingers and paws crossed for a better day tomorrow (some sunshine would help--we've had cold, chilly, rainy weather for over a week).

Ni ni, thanks for visiting,
