I've known for months that TiTi was losing weight, but I just didn't want to face it. She's also drinking way more water than any cat needs, unless CKD or diabetes is in play.
Fortunately, I can get her checked out. I figure thyroid, a kidney panel and a CBC is in order. BP as well, if they have a cuff.

????This lowering of insulin concerns me. On the positive side, it might be that her tumor is shrinking. On the negative side, and coupled with her weight loss even though she's eating plenty, it could be cancer.
I don't know @Wendy&Neko . What 's your opinion?????

Keep us posted and try not to worry too much until you have something to worry about. Easier said than done, I know. Those symptoms can have several causes and many are highly treatable and manageable (like diabetes, which you already know and are managing quite well). :bighug:

You will drive yourself crazy doing the "what if" game. Get the blood work done, the full senior panel with thyroid is a good idea. How are Titi's 5 P's? Appy OK? Regular in the LB? What's her ideal weight? Just wondering how much she's lost over what time. Acros can have bowel issues. A probiotic might help.

Most of her Ps are in order. She is close to being blind though, which is why I want to get a BP. She may have beginning cataracts, so an exam should be able to ascertain that.
Her usual weight is 10 to 11 pounds; once she sailed up to 12 pounds. 8 is just too low. Her appetite is great, and she's been regular in the litter box for some long time. She's been on a probiotic for a few months, just because she absolutely loves it, and I spoil her. She purrs, but not so much playing, because she's still adjusting to her greatly reduced sight.

I should be able to get the blood work done within the next 3 weeks. It's a matter of having enough money, so by my second paycheck, I should be financially stable enough to get it done. I know I should not be so worried; it's just that her BG is lowering so fast now. She went to 50@+5 today, and I just lowered her from 4U to 3.5U.

It's my White Queen thing. Thanks for adding some stabilizing thoughts to my, so far, unfounded fears..

Sorry, not around as much these days to keep up. Have you seen an IM vet? . An ultrasound can help start the Dx for any intestinal issues, but a biopsy is the next step if they see anything on the US. Thickening of the bowel walls can reduce the absorption of nutrients. My guy ate like an 80lb dog and still had trouble with weight. The vet and I suspected something in the intestines since BW and other tests all came back in normal range.

The guessing game will drive you nuts, but try to keep ahead of it before TiTi loses too much weight. How does she look BMI wise? Still a little curvy in the flank area, not too bony?

Vines for TiTi and I hope you can get her to start packing the pounds back on!
