Ouch! Simon is sky high this morning. I think it is because I accidentally gave him fish instead of chicken/beef yesterday. Those FF cans look similar. Simon doesn't do well with fish.

My stray kitty that I have been taking care of hopefully will be going to his new home today. A person that I know from work is picking him up from my work around 2:00 today. She has a young son who is very excited. I just hope Cole (now going to be called Charlie -- picked out by the child) will be good and like his new home. And I really hope he gets along with the other kitty in the home. It figures that Simon is finally getting used to the kitty and even hung out with him last night. He still doesn't like him jumping on him but tolerates him. Please keep paws and fingers crossed that this works out.

If everything goes well this weekend with Cole going to the new place, I will be picking up Missy from the shelter next week to bring home. I think she will do better with Simon since she is older and will not jump on his head.

I'll give you an update later today!

Re: 4/26 Simon AMPS 327 Cole is going to his new home

I know about those cans of FF that resemble each other: the ocean whitefish pâté and chinky turkey are almost the same color of blue!

I hope everything works out with Charlie and Missy :-D

Morning Georgia ~O) ~O) ~O)

I wish you much luck with Cole, aka Charlie. I sure hope he likes his new home, and his new caregiver. Very cool on Missy too. Exciting things happening there. :-D

And Simon.... down you go buddy! The blues await you.

Enjoy your day today!

Re: 4/26 Simon AMPS 327 Cole is going to his new home

Morning Georgia, that is so wonderful that Cole will be going to his new home today. Prayers and vines it all works out. Can't wait until you get Missy home. You've helped two kitties find forever homes.
I hope Simon slides down nicely today.
Have a wonderful dau, Georgia.

Re: 4/26 Simon AMPS 327 Cole is going to his new home

Wonderful news for Cole/Charlie. It sounds like it should work out well, given that the people already have kitty experience, and Cole seems to enjoy being around another cat. It will be wonderful when you can get Missy home, too.

Simon....come on down!!!

Have a great day, Georgia!

Re: 4/26 Simon AMPS 327 Cole is going to his new home

Wishing Cole (aka Charlie) to have a wonderful life in his new home. Also, hoping that Simon gives you a nice lower surf. Have a great day.

He still doesn't like him jumping on him but tolerates him.
I think not! You are an angel to get a good home for Cole/Charlie. :-D :-D I hope the introduction with Missy goes well. It sounds like Simon likes to have another kitty with him. Let's bring that down, Simon. Have a great day, Georgia. TGIF!

Re: 4/26 Simon AMPS 327 Cole is going to his new home

Hi Georgia,
Great news that Cole/Charlie will be going to his furever home. It will work out, as he seems like a very personable kitty who will be able to adjust quickly (hopefully the other kitty in the house will quickly adjust, too!). Good luck with your adoption of Missy. You are doing a wonderful thing adopting this kitty who has been through so much. All sorts of good vines going out for this adoption.

Simon, you are doing so well, tolerating Cole and soon to be getting a companion who will be closer to your age. Good goin', buddy. Now, bring down those bgs, OK?

Have a good weekend, guys,

hugs & scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 4/26 Simon AMPS 327 Cole is going to his new home

Some cats do need time to get friendly with another one. Ive 21 cats at home , all from sheter. Introduction is the most important for two cats to meet. Hope the new kitty get accepted by Simon.

Re: 4/26 Simon AMPS 327 Cole is going to his new home

I hope the transition is an easy one. Maybe as a welcome home gift, you can give Cole/Charlie's new family a copy of, "Think Like a Cat." It's written by a wonderful feline behaviorist, Pam Johnson-Bennett. This is a link to her website.

Re: 4/26 Simon PMPS 252

The exchange has been made. Cole (Charlie) is now at his new home. He was good at work for the hour I had him in my office and seemed pretty relaxed. His new mom did not push herself on him and sat next to him to let him come to her. Very cool. She says her child is very quiet with cats and knows how to stroke them and not pet them too hard or pull their tail. I hope Charlie will also like him. And the main thing is that I hope he doesn't pee on their carpet. He peed on DH's clothes the other day that were on the floor, but I think it was because he had been in a home with 3 cats all day. But if DH had picked up his clothes and put them in the hamper, that would not have happened! :-D Seriously, I hope he won't want to mark his territory since he is just recently a neutered male and they have another cat.

Simon seems more relaxed this afternoon, although he does look like he is looking for Cole. PMPS is better.

Thanks for all the well-wishes. Sienne, I am going to look at the book and take you up on the suggestion.
