Well the nice yellow number i was hoping for didn't show up again......i guess Leo just likes pink for pre-shot. Who knew he liked pink?
Yesterday we stopped by the vets office for a script for Lantus and to get his scruff shaved so it makes it easier for shooting. He hissed and growled at the vet tech like she was murdering him!!! I have to say i was kind of embarrassed.....my kitty was a terror. Then 2 seconds after he's back to purring and talking to me and the vet tech. The vet wanted me to bring him in today to do a curve, but i said i would prefer to do it myself and i'd prob get better numbers with having Leo in his own little kitty comfort zone. The vet agreed. I have to say i'm liking Leo's vet more and more everytime i talk to him, he asked for my email address and by the time i got home i had gotten an email from him with a Lantus information sheet on how to get your cat into regulation then remission. He had gotten it from the VIN website (for veterinarians) and it pretty much said the same thing as the Lantus stickies......except it says to start them off on a "high" dose to kickstart their pancreas then taper down as per nadir. He also sent me a BG spreadsheet (which BTW totally sucks compared to ours), so i sent him back Leo's spreadsheet. And today we are doing a curve for the vet.
Anyways.......better get back to Leo, he needs his morning snuggles and hugs.
