Morning all, ( less I-) + ~O) ~O) = @-) )

Blech on the AMPS. Jetta is sure wearing her diving/bouncing crowns these last 2 days. She seems well otherwise. Yesterday when she was surfing along green she was so purry and playful. It was good to see especially after her recent illness.

Although it's still very early in our switch, I did notice a later onset with her last nght. Her +2 hadn't budged from PMPS but her +4.5 was a 250 point dive from +2. bcatrun_gif On Lantus her +2 told us where she was going and if she hand't moved she likely wasn't gonna. So, it's very interesting so far. The sleep testing went well, except I got the alarm for a +5.5 turned it off and never budged. Thank goodness for civvie Ranger who pulled me out of sleep at +6.5 by purring like a freight train and kneading in my side.

I'm curious to see what today brings!

Sending comfortig thoughts to all kitties and beans who need them and wishes for a happy Thursday.

Glad you are already seeing some changes with the Lev. I am excited to see where this takes Jetta. Have a great day Jaclyn!

It's probably still too early to draw conclusions. You're in the process of draining the Lantus shed and filling the Lev shed. Kudos to Ranger for the purry alarm clock!

I'm going to reduce tonight to .5U. More cats run high during an insulin switch as one shed drains and one fills. Jetta is clearly bucking that trend. And Sienne mentioned some cats react strongly to a switchover. I guess if I needed confirmation that 1U of Lev was too much for her, I got it today. I'd rather reduce too far and work my way back up than inch down a bit and then inch down again.

Yes...she is reacting to it! One of the main reasons I suggested you do a 1 for 1 was because you would be there to monitor her. Are you sure you want to take her down by half though?

Good catch and recovery.....I'm still seeing a lot of lantus in this cycle though....it does not look like a lev cycle.

Hi Marje,

I don't know... maybe 0.75? I just don't want to overfill her new shed. And I'm leery of getting into a seesaw of bouncing from too much insulin on board. I'll likely make a last minute call tonight on .5 or .75 -but I'm definitly reducing  I wondered about the Lantus shed. It was partially drained last Thursday from a skip. Good girl Jetta to keep me scratching my head.

I still think the 0.75 might be something to try, as long as you will home to monitor.

Re: 4/26 Jetta PMPS 440 LEV day 2

I reduced to .75 for PMPS. Normally I'd shoot through the bounce, but given Jetta's activity the last 2 days, and that she cleared last night's bounce in the same cycle, I opted to reduce.

Re: 4/26 Jetta PMPS 440 LEV day 2

so glad you are experienced and on top of the testing, jaclyn. you're doing great. good call on the reduction.

Re: 4/26 Jetta PMPS 440 LEV day 2

Thanks Julie.

HI Libby. Overall she's ok, but Jetta didn't seem to be herself most of today. She isn't eating great. She was pretty sleepy all day, but I give partial credit to our extended hours last night for that. Or it could be her pancreatitis lingering or she could just be a cat.
