Hmm.....I think we know where we want Gus to go but I think for now I will just keep it to myself. ;-)

He hit 491 yesterday with the aid of R and the help of an approaching Lantus nadir. To be at 491 at +3 on Lantus alone is a very, very good thing. I'm gonna sit tight and see. I'm thinking of increasing Lantus at PMPS to 6U, not giving R. Need advice.

It's fine to increase the basal (i.e., Lantus) insulin. I'm sure Libby will be by at some point to give the nod.

Bev, Decided to leave my Drama for a while and i see that Gus is showing off.. He seems to be doing that a lot lately. I couldn't be happier for you guys.
You're doing an amazing job with him. He just wants to make his bean a happy bean..and it looks like he's succeeding.. Very cool!!

OMG!!! Gus got a dosecrease tonight, so I'll be expecting a bounce. I'll use the R if I need it, but WOW! look what he did all day today. Libby, what can I ever say? Except maybe that I should have listened the 1st time you offered to help. I'll get a +3 or +4 to see what's happening with him at that point. Best day I've had in a couple of months. Thank you all my friends here at FDMB, for being so supportive when that's all there was to give.

good luck with the dosecrease! The closer we get to Gus's good Lantus dose, the more often he'll be able to surf. We'll get him to come down more, but for now this is beautiful!

OMG!!! is right. I think I remember you saying a week or so ago that Gus was a tuff nut , but look how faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar you both have come over the past few weeks even. My goodness he actually has numbers now and not just letters.. :lol: THAT'S HUGE!! Libby is pretty amazing isn't she. Just think where we might be with numbers had we both started when we should have.. I too held off starting R.. For me i was just a little scared to introduce something new to Tommy's system. I should have trusted my own abilities to be able to administer properly and also that she would never put Tommy in harms way.
