Spot's numbers have been a tad on the higher than usual side, but not terrible. The highest he's gotten was 146 and the lowest has been 81. He may have a touch of what Ralph and Ali had/have because he also has some pudding poo. His appy is good....he will eat, but ONLY if I sprinkle some FD wildside salmon or FD chicken livers on top. Not sure if it's because he's feeling a little off or if he's just feeling persnickity.

Ralphie is feeling 97% better!!! He is back to eating just his wet food, no kibble enticer is needed. His poo is not hard, but it's formed. He is back to sleeping on the bed w/me and is more active.

Ali, well, she still isn't feeling to good. Had a re-check @ the vets yesterday because she is no eating. She was drinking water on her own, but she's not drinking enough. I am still syringe feeding her and am able to get 10 ml. into her before she begins to get real antsy. I feed her three times a day. Vet gave me so injectable famotadine and injectable metoclopramide. I also got some subQ's to give her every other day. I wanted to get some Nutra-cal for her, but they didn't have any, so I have to go to another pet store to get that. Couldn't get it last night because I had to get right home to give Spot his dinner shot. She did get her couriosity peaked last night when she saw a squirrel on the bedroom window sill....which brings me to a cute story...

Went outside on the front porch to get the mail. Heard a noise over by my bedroom window, looked, saw Spot laying on his wndow seat, just looking at a squirrel hanging out on the sill right outside the window. Spot really couldn't care less about the squirrel and visa versa. I got a few pictures of it, it's a youngster, smallish in size. Eventually Ralph saw something and decided he was going to check it out. He wasn't quite as calm as Spot was...he was trying to whap it through the screen, his tail was going a mile a minute. I decided that I needed to close the window a little bit, didn't want anyone to put a hole through the screen and let the little thing in the house. Ali was up on my bed and made her way over to the window seat also. She just sat there and watched it, but I was surprised that she actually did that. This thing slept on the window sill all night long and I finally had a little talk with it, telling him/her that it needed to go home and get some breakfast and stay with his/her family. Called mom a little bit ago and the squirrel is not there anymore.

Well, I hope everyone has a great day and thanks for stopping in our condo today to see how we are doing!

Hi guys .. so glad to hear that ralphie is feeling so much better ... Hopefully spot can get over his little bug too, if he has it .. and I will keep Ali in my thoughts that she get's better soon too .. How funny that the squirrel listened to you .. bet he got a good talking to from his own mama! Have a great day guys!

Morning Deb! Awesome to hear from you. I am so glad that Ralphie is better, and that hopefully Ali is on the mend. Go guys! Be 100% well. oh too fun on Spot eating only with the FD sprinkles... I hope he is just being persnickity.

Too funny on the squirrel. Guess he listened to you! Mannie could care less when he sees them. No reaction whatsoever. He's even let them in the house! that was fun.....

Have a great day today!

I wouldn't do nutrical. What about syringing Recovery or MaxCal - if fat content isn't a problem? Much higher calories than baby food. And extremely easy to syringe. Has she lost weight? Can you get up a few times in the night to feed her also? Any calories you get in will help.

Ali and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending feel all better again vines, to her.
Cute squirrel story :-D

Hi Deb,
I'm so glad that Ralphie is feeling lots better and hope that Ali will soon, too. I told my plant, Ralphie, about your Ralphie and he waved one of his new blossoms (he's a Thanksgiving cactus, but gets a second bloom this time of year).
Spot: don't get the malade, whatever it is!! The Kitchen Krew has lots of parties coming up and they need you!

That squirrel probably saw what a nice life your kitties have and decided to try to get adopted! It'll be interesting to see if it returns.

Have a good evening, all of you (squirrel, too)

Karrie, I looked on line at all the pet stores close to me, and couldn't find them there. The only thing I can see is the nutraCal, so I'm going to have to go with that. She lost one pound since her last vet visit....down from 5.6 to 4.6. She is a very petite kitty, always has been. I am feeding her three times a day, I can get up and feed her during the nights and have done so on a few occasions.

You get these at the vets office. I wouldn't do nutrical or do both.
The recovery foods are very high in calories but also high in fat. So it could upset their stomach's. These are very good consistencies for syringe feeding. Maverick had two major abdominal surgeries and had pancreatitis but he was able to handle these foods. He was only on metoclopromide at the time as his stomach wasn't digesting the food without it (motility issue).
