Champ has started to wait until I get up in the morning before eating the food I set out for him the night before. I'm going to have to feed him right before I go to bed and then take away any food that's left so I can tell what his true AMPS is doing. I increased to 2.25u this morning so let's see how this works. I hate these measurements where I have to eyeball it...where there's no actual line to measure to on the syringe. I'm always sure I'm not getting it exactly right :-D

Ah, I know what you mean. I have no clue how people can give skinny or fat 1.75u's. I have such a hard time dosing the thing.

Hi guys .. champ, come on down now ok? That is to close to the darn red floor .. We had to do A LOT of F and S shots for mocha .. that girl couldn't hold a full reduction for nothing .. not saying it was perfect each time, but you do the best you can ... have a great day guys!

A nice little bit of blue yesterday, i hope the extra juice gets more of them.

The small doses we give can be a pain, but exactly on the .25 mark isn't that important. Being consistent every time is. I've found that sometimes it helps to look at where the bottom of th plunger is rather than the top when it is in between the lines. The bottom should be really close to the previous line.

Do you have 31 gauge needles in the States? I know the other day i bought some 31 gauge syringes at Walmart (i'm in Canada) and they come with the .5 markings as well as the 1.0 markings, it makes it alot easier giving 1.25 or 1.75..........just a thought.

Hi Guys!

so agreed on the microdsoing stuff. The needles with the half unit markings do make a big difference. And Ann is right too about the consistency. I have one syringe that I mark the dose with - use it as my "control", so that when I do draw the actual dose I have something else that will confirm that I am being consistent. Good luck!

And yes on the food - it should help. I did that some time ago too - so that I know for sure that the amps is not food influenced. The cats hated it at first, now it's the norm. :-D

I definitely use syringes with 0.5 unit markings...it's just when we have to get a 0.25 or 0.75 dose that kills me. It's like I have to guestimate every time. I've studied those close-up pics of the different dosages many times to make sure I understand the difference between a .25 dose and a skinny/fat dose. Not much difference, that's for sure!! :-D

Great numbers from Champ today. I'm hoping Guinness hit some 200's as well when I was at work, but I will never know. I'll just keep looking and Champ's numbers and secretly pretend they are Guinness's :smile:

i think you'll see a big difference in his amps when he doesn't have food available soon before then. that .25 dosing stuff is hard - i just keep telling myself that as long as i always do the same thing, it's all relative to that - if that makes any sense. someone else might do it completely differently, but as long as you can shoot what you call 2.25 and know what it is, and be able to increase or decrease it, that's what matters.

did ya tell the boy that you're having to renegotiate the Feed Me Contract again? ;-) :lol:
