Cindy and Mousie...there was a time that I didn't know what to do and I would get really nervous...but now I know exactly what to do...btw I still get a lil nervous Buddy is already out of the danger zone because I gave him some HC (High Carb) gravy from fancy feast. I gave him 2 tsp because he was dropping fast and I didn't want to risk it...he was eating like a cow that is how I knew he was dropping in the first place....

yes, he had his gravy at +2...2 tsp. he is 56 +2.47min. I will test again in a lil while...I just woke him to test him. He was snoring in the kitchen window enjoying the nice cali air

It is scary at first when they drop fast , but I learned the other night how to control it myself.The staying up late part is the hard thing.congrats on the dose decrease.

They do like to do this at night, don't they, when they can keep us up feeding them instead of going to sleep. :lol: But the cats are in charge, no use fighting it!

ok, i know there is no such thing as a double dose decrease...but omg...buddy...my goodness...all of a sudden the lil liver has kicked in! I think I gave him like 5 tsp of HC gravy...hoping that keeps his numbers up!
It's actually not that surprising. Generally, our kitties will bobble around for a bit. Their BG will come up with the HC and then the food will begin to wear off and their numbers may drop again. It's why we suggest you get two consecutive tests where the numbers are up and/or rising. You don't just want to feed and check back an hour or so later. You need to make sure the numbers stay in a safe range by testing every 20 to 30 min.
