Hi all, and Happy Sunday!

Yesterday's Condo

Well - after a nice blue surf last night Mannie elected to take a side trip to RBC: 329 at amps, 354 at +6. :YMSIGH: well it is what it is, and we wait for it to clear.

I have a dental set for him on Tuesday, and posted a general question on health, re: sealants. I am curious if they are truly worth it, or if it is just better to try a daily gel to deal with tartar, or :lol: brushing.... Any opinions are welcome. I know a couple of you have already done that - so thanks!
Question on Health: Dental

WCR: all 5 p's are in order. Cool here today, so Mannie is very busy I-) I-) I-) in his bed. No doubt that when I head on outdoors for needed yard work that he will be on my heels - he makes a terrific supervisor. Actually I think he comes along to make sure I don't disturb his secret spots... :lol:

Sorry I don't have answers about your dental questions, but I'll be interested in learning what you find out.

Thanks Libby - yes on the nasty pinks. HAHA: back to LTS.

I will post whatever I learn. I really wonder about sealants - I think it was Ann (??) that answered a few days ago saying that the reviews weren't all that good. I dunno - not too sure I want to put him through that, though I hear he will already be under for the cleaning, as they apply the sealant after they are done: needs a dry surface, etc... I hope somebody tied into health will post something before Tu morning... so far - no, but I guess I can keep bumping it up.. Ann said she has a gel that she uses daily on Tess to reduce tartar buildup.

anyways.... here's hoping he clears this little trip to RBC soon. Comon' Mannie! cat_pet_icon

Right now we use Maxiguard Gel daily, I might like to try the Prodent Plaque Off though. CET is also supposed to have a daily gel. They are a lot easier than brushing, but I'm still trying.

Hi Michelle and Mannie, sorry about the stinky pinks today! Hope Mannie is learning his lessons at LT school!!! Good luck with the dental on Tuesday. Don't have any input for you but I know the dental made a big difference in Scrabble!! Happy Sunday!

Hi michelle! I just posted to your dental thread ... I don't have much experience with dentals, but I did mention that on mochas dental receipt, it did charge us for 1 oravet barrier sealant application, and in the follow up paperwork it said those would wear off in roughly 1 week. Not real sure what they are or what they were used for?

Thanks (!!!) for the links. I have read the one on mocha - he also put something out there on health. The Prodent Plaque-off sounds like a good thing - and easy to use. Not too crazy about what I've read on the sealants. sounds like a pain in the arse, and I really doubt Mannie would put up with that. Thanks to for the review of OraJet. It will be interesting to see what options my vet presents on Tuesday, as I have heard she has revamped her dental program, allowing her patients to decide yes or no on several programs, sealants being one of them. Kudos to you for trying the brushing option.... oh my: wonder how my guy would do with that.... :lol: anyways - thanks for all the info - much appreciated!!!!!

and Michelle and scrabble: hi guys! Scrabble - you getting so close to OTJ. wow!!! Scrabble needs to come and visit Mannie and tell him how it is done. It will be a while for us i think. :-D and thanks for the well wishes on the dental. aiyee - second time this year - therefore the approach that I must find something to do at home..... !!!!!!

Hi Peter - just read yours... wow on the sealant! one week ???? shesshhhh, and what is the point of that? sounds pricey, and a short term solution ??? very interesting - i will read what you posted on health. thanks so much for the info, truly!!

I know sealants well from my kids dental stuff - used it on all three on them, but very different from what i'm reading for felines... whoa, and wow.

Fascinating discussion! Mannie, we hope you have a good dental experience on Tuesday and that your bean can figure out what all these treatments are about!! In the meantime, be thinking positive thoughts about bringing down those numbers!

My poor vet won't know what to make of me when I take him there on Tuesday armed with a ka-zillion questions.

here's hoping that he clears his bounce quickly! He usually does. but wow - a 403 @ +10? ohmygod_smile
