4/24-Scratchie - Doing Much Better - I'm Happy!

Making this quick as at work and will get in trouble if here long. Again - thanks to everyone for your support!

He's doing better today on eating and is in fact turning into a little piglet!!! Bought some higher carb/higher calorie food last night so we can get him over this hump and see if he can gain back the pound that he lost. He's loving it. I started to syringe feed him at 1 AM, he thought it was a game and was literally sucking food out of the syringe, then ate more! :lol: This morning at 4:30AM he ate on his own and ate almost all that I gave him. By the time DH got up, he had cleaned his plate! Best thing is that he was purring this morning and slept with me last night!!! YEA!!!! Last test on ketones showed trace, couldn't get to his box fast enough this morning to get a test - litter sucked it up. Trying to test morning and night, more if I can catch him...

Wishes to all for good numbers and a great day! I forgot what his number was this morning so will update spreadsheet tonight...

Woohoo for eating on his own and PURRING!!!!! Purring is always a good sign. So happy to hear it sounds like he is on the mend...I know you know this but I'm a momma hen...keep watching those ketones.

And Scratchie NO MORE SCARING US!!!! That was so not the way to get mommie to give you yummier fud...It would have been much better to have begged for a few more yummy lo carb treats than scaring all your new friends half to death.

Like Mel says - purring is good - sleeping with you is good - and eating on his own is awesome......I'm so glad he's doing well and thanks for sneaking on to update......
