4-24 Leo AMPS 102/ +2 112/ +5.25 150/ PMPS 253/ +2.8 191

PMPS at 253. He was doing so good for awhile there. Is this the usual for one FS?

Used a BD Veo 6mm tonight-since I forgot the morning. :banghead: Much better! Hmmmm. Have a lot of 8mm. He didn't react when I first used 8mm, so I don't know. o_O

Is it easier to shoot him when he is eating and distracted? Do you shoot with the bevel of the needle facing upwards?

Almost missed this, Bhooma.
It used to be while eating until Leo would stop while I was about to shoot and he would sit down. OK, fine, Leo. Then I could access other locations for SQ. All was fine until he started feeling feisty about it, so my husband would help with the distraction.

After using the shorter needle tonight, MAYBE this small change might help.

In one of the posts earlier this year, there was a pic that showed me what it meant by bevel of the needle facing upwards, but I can't find it. Now I'm questioning myself if I understand what this looks like.

Read the dialogue again, and here's what I need to do to desensitize him to the pinch, then injection

"Austin is long haired, so I try to brush aside his hair to expose a bit of his skin prior to the pinch. This is where he starts to get suspicious, but I often do the pinch several times before I actually inject."
