Well the black #'s are back. Tipper's dose was decreased at the ER to 2.00u. I was instructed to do a 12hr curve and call in the results and not to change her dose without vet approval. Her pancreas is in good shape so pancreatitis is not indicated.

They also want me to go back to vial insulin and compare the results to the Solostar pen. They are not fans of the pen. My guess is that they are just not familiar with it. I will discuss with her regular vet Monday.
Tipper's primary vet's practice is devoted to only cats, encourages home testing and has provided all of our cats with excellent care.

Tipper is holding her own- eating good with the help of an appetite stimulant and just about back to her old self. I have been researching lymphoma and praying that it is not our diagnosis.
Thanks for reading,

Patty

i hope it's not that either, patty! so you must've seen a different vet than your regular vet, is that it? your regular vet sounds like a great find.

what was the reason they dropped Tipper's insulin back down?

great news that tipper is nearly back to herself and no pancreatitis! that makes the bean's heart glad!
