Good Saturday Morning, Everyone,

(See "Loose Lips" condo for the original paragraph of this post!)
Rusty is good. A little high at AMPS, but it may reflect some nighttime food, since AMPS was 1/2 hour early today because I am moving the times to accommodate the early start of Wagner's Die Walküre at the Met on Monday. I gave a bad shot this morning: I think I must have hit a nerve, because he cried out and tried to pull away. I think I got the insulin in (no smell on his fur), but there was a drop left in the syringe. Time will tell. He enjoyed 2 sittings of breakfast and a nap in his basket next to the radiator. I don't think he'll want to go out today in this horrible weather. We played briefly with Red Ears. When I came up from mopping in the cellar (see "Loose Lips" condo) I flopped down on the floor. Rusty was in his basket at the time and he got up and came over to me and gave me some head butts and head rubs. It was so touching. He is such a loving kitty. Brings such joy to our hearts.

Off to visit some condos and hope that all the kitties who were not well yesterday are feeling better today. Then to the hardware store to buy more sponges for the cellar floor (see "Loose Lips" condo).

Re: 4/23 Rusty AMPS 124

omg Ella - i can sympathize with your cellar... I know how disheartening that can be. you get the water down only to watch it come back. Several years ago we had a monster snow storm, dumped 3 feet of snow (very unusual for us) - so of course as quick as it came is decided to melt:fast and within 24 hours. There was such soil saturation that the water had no where else to go but inside everyone's homes. We flooded big time, spent 2 days shop vac, sump pump, and still it came. we ended up giving up, letting the "river" run through the basement.... I wish you luck, and rest somewhere along the line. I can understand what you are going through.

It is decent start this morning for him. I find his comforting of you very heartwarming. He truly is a wonderful kitty.

I hope your day improves. I send dry basement vibes, off to the opera fun vibes.

Rusty? KTSS! and Gracie's! and I guess I should post this in "Loose Lips" uhhhhh Rusty? What are loose lips? ... Mannie

Sorry about your basement, Ella, and your weather! I've done that same ouchy shot once or twice with Maggie, so it happens. They do forgive us. Take care.

Nice to Rusty coming down, Ella. Ouchie on the shot...I've done that once or twice, too. Poor babies...those needles are so sharp which is good because it's quick. Glad you got some cuddles today. Hope the basement problems resolve and that you stay warm and snuggly in this bad weather.

Re: 4/23 Rusty AMPS 124, +6 107(136?), +9 142, PMPS 157. 2

Hi again, I've been MIA all day because of the cellar flood. It looks like this morning's shot was a fur shot, at least that's what the numbers tell me. And then this evening I smelled Lev on Rusty's fur. Two fur shots in a row! I guess my title is safe!!
We decided to postpone our trip to NY to Monday, both to give Rusty time to recover from the fur shots and to keep an eye on the cellar for another whole day. Monday will be a marathon for us, but for Rusty it will be OK.
I took him outside late this afternoon, when there was actually a smidgen of sunshine. He loved being out, but saw something and came tearing into the house!!

Off now to check on the sick kitties. Please forgive me if I didn't get to all your condos today.

Like I've said before... can I schedule you to come do my fur shots? Rusty never seems to stray too far on them.... :-D :-D :-D Hope the water recedes soon so your basement can get and stay dry!!

Two for Two, that's okay, it happens. Long-haired kitties are hard to shoot.  Hope you are near the end of the basement flooding. Enjoy your trip.

Ella, I've done two fur shots in a row too...it happens! I hope the flooding stops and Rusty gets back on track quickly so you can go and enjoy the opera without stress!

Ella, bummer on the fur shots, but Rusty's number aren't bad at all so far. Glad you could postpone the trip a little and make sure he's cruising where he usually is...

Wow Rusty, what did you see outside??? I hope you get the cellar figured out and Rusty recovers so you can make your trip. Night.
