This is probably another bounce and extra carbs again last night. Although he only ate the one small can of HC at PMPS +2, then two tsp of 2% carb at +7. Oh Max, people need their sleep at night little guy. You need to give me some good numbers during the day so we can get you better regulated! If only cats would listen lol...

I think my DH feels sorry for me, due to not wanting to learn to help with Max last night. He left for work, but came back shortly after he left... with a coffee and a cheese biscuit for me. At least he cares. Maybe one day he will learn to help with Max. He does pill our dog though...it's just needles and blood that freak him out.

How are you feeling? Any better?
Still on antibiotics but not much has changed yet. I’m still hopeful the meds will work. Thanks everybody.

I talked to Max’s vet this morning. She is going to call and see if she can still get the urine protein creatinine ratio done. She also left me some cerenia, buprenorphine and lactated ringers for Max. I said before he wasn’t having any symptoms of pancreatitis but he has vomited a few times in the last couple of days and acts like he’s a little uncomfortable. That was nice of her because I sure didn’t want to take the chance of ending up at the animal hospital this weekend. I don’t think I’m giving the sub Q fluids unless I have to though.

I'm glad you made it through last night and I hope you got some much needed sleep! Read your SS notes, unfortunately, no way to control bouncy cat, and not really any way to have them go low only during the day, we've all tried LOL!

RE: your husband is so sweet, coming back with goodies for you! He may come around yet! But in the meantime, this is the place to be if you need additional support not just for Max but for you! :bighug: For now, I hope Max just stays surfing safely so you can get your rest. And I am very, very glad your vet called in the additional bupe, cerenia and I/V supplies, those are good things to have in your took kit for emergencies! still sending you healing vibes and prayers to get better soon! p.s. you're taking antibiotics, don't forget to take probiotics as most will trash your GI system.:(

Wendy has told me that before too about Max being bouncy and there was no way to control when he does it. At least I know it’s not just me with the only unpredictable cat. So many wise people here I’m sure you’ve all tried it all! Just doing the best I can and it’s up to him when he wants to stop his bouncing. So, unfortunately for me, he likes doing that at night mostly.
Yes, Max’s vet can be old school at times, but she is very open to listening and working with me. I went through 3 vets before I found her. She’s familiar with acromegaly and has treated 3 other cats like Max. She lets all of his insulin dosing be up to me. She just gives me the RX. I didn’t want to take the chance if Max got worse this weekend so she left me the supplies and I went to pick them up today. You are right. Good things to have.
I am taking probiotics. I take them every day anyway but especially with antibiotics! Thank you so much Ruth! You are such a kindhearted person.:bighug::bighug::bighug:
