I started Trix's condo so late yesterday that I figured I'd make up for it and get an extra-early start today :lol: ! Today begins a food experiment:I'm switching her from a 50/50 mix of BG Chicken/FF chicken to a 50/50 mix of BG Chicken/Wellness chicken. It's been a while since she's had Wellness, and even though it's techinically LC, I was always suspicous that it raised her numbers. However, the last time she had it, she was also only on about 1U. Now she's on 2.75U, and I wonder if the FF chicken has something to do with that. Unfortunately, I didn't mark on her SS when I made the switch to FF, but I do hav a feeling it was right around when her insulin needs changed last fall. Anyway, she likes to confuse me with food, so we'll see if this shakes things up a bit :lol: !

Amy, good luck with the food experiment. I have found that Simon's numbers are better with Wellness. The problem is that he will only eat it for 2 days and then turns his nose up at it. I have to wait another 4-5 days to re-introduce it back to him. He will always eat FF but I really think he does better on the Wellness. Hope the Wellness helps with Trixie's numbers, too.

Amy, good luck with the fuds experiment. Maggie is doing really great on the Wellness Turkey. I have not tried the chicken! That's a nice blue for Trixie girl. Have a great day.

Very pretty start for Trixie! I hope the food switch meets with her approval and brings her down enough for a reducie.

Maybe you accidentally got hold of some of the Australian FF - aka canned cereal!! Looks like she'll be swimming in the lagoon soon though, I can feel a :mrgreen: coming on.

Oh so close!!!

Trix has always liked Wellness Chicken. In fact, it was what she was eating when she was diagnosed (along with kibble, which obvioulsy is now out of the picture). But, it always seemed to act more like MC with her, or so I thought. But then it dawned on me that her insulin needs really went up after she started eating FF...basically possibly the same effect as she had with the Wellness. I figure if she's going to need more insulin anyway, I'd rather she eat the Wellness.

She really seemed to do the best, number-wise, on a mix of Instinct and BG, or the BG alone, but she did get finicky about that and started to refuse it. I think I tried the Wellness turkey with her a few times, but got lukewarm feedback.

We'll see how this one pans out. Time for Sunday chores!

Nice blue surf for Trixie today! Good luck with the food shake up. We feed FF and FF only. Tarragon won't touch anything else. Hope you had a great day and have an even better night!
 
These are good numbers! All in nice bg range & some nice healing numbers here--
In my experience with Moonie, when she has a flat cycle, the next cycle or 2, her numbers go to the next lower floor!! Hope Trixie will be green real soon! :mrgreen: Hugs & Lubs from us!
