It looks like Toeby's BG ran high all day today...
But, he had a good appetite at breakfast, and then surprised me to no end by tearing around the house in a burst of energy before his supper.
So, he obviously just feels better today - he is currently watching birds, and is purry to the touch.
I thought maybe his BG was down to a nice level, but he was still up.

Does that predict anything for later tonight, or tomorrow?

He is still bouncing but with that yellow PMPS he is indicating he could well be on the way back down. So I would monitor this cycle to see if he is. If you look at 18/4 you can see a similar Preshot and then he starts to drop. The next day the first test after PMPSwas still yellow but you didn’t test again so we don’t know what happened. He only bounces for a cycle or two so you need to be on the look out for signs he is coming off the bounce.
If he doesn’t come down this cycle I think he will most likely come down next cycle

I'm going to repeat this back to be sure I'm getting this right:
April 18th he had a similar yellow suppertime preshot, I stayed up until 2 am getting test results, and he had blue and green results.

The next evening, the 19th, he was also yellow at supper time preshot, and then yellow at 10 pm when I tested before I went to bed, so we don't know if he went blue or green or bright pink, for that matter, after that.

You're suggesting he is likely going to come down on either tonight's overnight cycle, or tomorrow's daytime cycle, do I have that correct?
Cycle means a 12 hour period, correct?

+2 this evening is 239

PS I said "correct" too many times above, lol... just trying to make sure I am understanding

Yes, going on his past cycles, that is what he is most likely to do...….but cats love to prove us wrong too!

Correct

That is a drop from preshot so I would test again in a couple of hours.
He may save the drop for tomorrow morning.

You are doing a great job!

+3 191...

I'll check again once or twice before bed... he seems to be dropping nicely, not in a, shall we say, precipitous fashion?
Thanks for the words of encouragement... I will admit to feeling like I am just dabbing numbers on a chart and supporting the glucose strip industry at times.

He is coming down very sedately at the moment. I think he will come down further.

No, what you are doing is gathering great data. It makes it so much easier to help you when we can see how the insulin is affecting Toeby's BGs.
If you look at his chart and imagine all the tests during the cycles were not there.....you would think the insulin is not helping at all. But when the in-between tests are included it is very easy to see how effective the dose is.

+5 = 236
I skipped +4 as he was dreaming, sound asleep, and I thought +5 would be appropriate, but his BG's have gone up sometime in the last 2 hours.
He's had snacks, which may account for the rise, but I don't think his low point will be at +6?
I don't think I need to stay up later tonight....he has food in his dishes to last out the rest of the night.

Sorry just getting back online and seeing this. I hope you went to bed!
I doubt the snacks would have risen the BG unless it was high carb.
Tomorrow morning’s cycle will be interesting,

Morning, errrrr Evening, @Bron and Sheba (GA) !!!

Yes, I bailed and went to bed - I was confident his BG's weren't headed anywhere dangerous.
He was 18.1 (326) this morning which was a bit of a disappointment.
I was hoping for something yellow.
I even got up at 6 and made sure his dishes were clean (they were) so he deffo had no food for 2 hours before test time.
So...
Let's see what the morning brings.

I had to cancel some plans I had for today so I will be close to home and try to get lots of tests this morning.
We got smacked with an official "third wave" of Covid this week and are now back under travel restrictions.

They can often go up higher at the end of a bounce before heading on down, so let’s see what surprises he has in mind today.
I’m sorry you are having a third wave. It is very bad in so many places around the world again.
