Musette barfed up her breakfast right after I gave her .5 this morning...now unlike her is refusing to eat...already got karo in her, and Syringe fed her...she is fighting on the syringe feeding so she still has her tortietude. No Ketones, well hydrated, ears cool no fever.

So we are thinking this was a low because of the barfing? We occasionally see Lev users drop below 40 within first 3 hours after shot, perhaps caused by last hurrah from previous dose. Like maybe the shed tipped over just a little.

Didn't you say before that she didn't tolerate low numbers well? Maybe she was already headed down, hence the barfing.

Not sure if this is from her barfing this morning or if it is something else, her not eating has me concerned she never doesn't eat. She is my little piglet normally.

Probably just the FF. Some cats just don't do well on it, despite it's hype on the board. Too many allergens possibly. I only feed it to Tigget because it's about the only canned food she will eat now at 20. But she gets raw food too.
 
If the 35 was off the last shot, then you need to keep testing because the morning shot will kick in on top of less food.

Mel, is there another food you can feed her that she likes? A treat food like boiled chicken or something? If FF is her normal diet you might not want an aversion to from syringe feeding.

I'm wondering if she doesn't need a little less insulin - like .4u.

Normally there wasn't been a food that she has met that she didn't like...but I am syringe feeding her a flavor of Friskies that she doesn't usually like as well as the others.Giving her Mixed Grill right now and normally that particular flavor I reserve for the civies since they would probably eat dirt if I put it in their dish with a little tuna juice. Gonna she if I can entice her yet with a little tuna.

She still isn't eating on her own except for a little bit of tuna that I got her to eat tonight. Poop is still loose but a little more formed that it was this morning where it was pure liquid and was peeling the paint off the walls. I did syringe feed her again tonight to get enough food on her stomach to go ahead and shoot .4u since her pmps was 395. which I'm sure is mostly a bounce off the hypo and the HC gravy that I was giving her to bring her up today.

Fingers and paws crossed that by morning her tummy will feel good enough that she wants to eat on her own.

Good thing is she is feisty as **** tonight fought me every step of the way on the syringe feeding. Bad thing is computer is going in the shop tomorrow so will have to access the boards for a few days off my phone.

The only thing I can think of that was different about today as oppose to yesterday, Today was the first day that I fed her FF beef and chicken, so it is either the dried egg or the beef that caused this violent reaction. She is acting more like herself, but defintely not back to 100% yet.
