Morning, LL.

I haven't done a thread on Eeyore in a few days (time issues...), so no condo to link. He's doing well. Continues to have a fast drop and doesn't really surf much, so I'll be looking for suggestions about that. There's no rhyme nor reason as to why some days he's in the blues/greens, and others he's pink and red...but he is, and I don't know why.

Other than that, he's really doing well...loves - LOVES - to sleep under the blanket snuggled up to me...last night, I went to bed, and he crawled under the quilt. Then Malachi came to give my earlobe a nibble, and laid right over Eeyore on top of the quilt. I laid there, giggling. Eeyore didn't give a whit, Mal had no idea, and I was being cuddled by my kitties...and oh how lovely it was.

Hope everyone has a great day...

Best-
Michele

 that was so cute.....I guess Eeyore didn't budge or Mal would have hit the roof! take care Michele!!

Re: 4/21 Eeyore PMPS+10=372 AMPS=461

Eeyore was warm, and fast asleep. How do I know that? Eeyore snores. LOL. And yes, had Eeyore woken and moved, Mal would've hit the roof...which would have made me laugh out loud laying in bed. LOLLIB. But no, he kept snoring, Mal kept nibbling, and I fell asleep to the sound of purrs and the gentle warmth of cats.

And now I'm outta here to the hectic bustle of an ICU...have a great day!

Best-
Michele

Awww....what a wonderful way to go to sleep!

When you're home, try front loading some of Eeyore's food. It may slow the drop and even out the cycle.

Re: 4/21 Eeyore PMPS+10=372 AMPS=461

Sienne, I've front loaded for more than a week now...it's not done anything. I took his dose down to 1.5 units, because of the fast drop...I'm hoping that I can level him out a bit that way. If it doesn't work, then we're no worse off than we are right now - he was 491 at PMPS. So...I'm giving it a shot.

I know it makes you frustrated when I do things like this, and I really don't suggest anyone else EVER doing this...but I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm triggering the rebound by sending him down so fast...so like I said, I'm gonna give this a shot, and see what happens over the next three cycles...and go from there.

I am so wiped out - the stress of this week has been utterly overwhelming, and I need to get through tomorrow...once on the other side of this particular mountain, it will be easier...

Best-
Michele

How are you front loading the food? I would think it's got to be hard with your crew and your not being around during the day. Jill has me feeding Gabby at PS, +1, +2, and +3 because Gabby is prone to those big, fast drops, as well. From his numbers, it looks like Eeyore needs the insulin so the alternative is to manipulate his food. He may need a slightly higher carb food which would offset a plunge. It may be worth sending Jill a PM. She's very good with looking at how you can use food in situations like this.
