Roni and Devon, thank you for commenting on Checks. I don't always post all numbers.
He actually went from 242 to 236 to 143......I'm bad at updating this and SS....It's been a busy morning.
I have lots of condos to visit, as soon as I can. I love reading what everyone is doing...'specially the sweet kitties.
Funny how you can come to love someone else's cat, that you've never met.

Nice looking drop. Keep up the good work , Checkers!

It's easy to fall for all these brave kitties. They need us.

Hi Barb and Checkers!!!! Nice drop in the blues today! I had a difficult day getting on-line and was having withdrawls not being able to visit all the furbabies! I love them all too! Hope you have a great night!!!

Re: 4/21 Checkers amps/242 +3/143

Checkers isn't acting any different, eating , peeing, sleeping the same as normal, but his bean is concerned about numbers not coming down today.
His lowest was 143@+3. We never made it into green at all.
Now I'm suspicious of the insulin. It's 10 weeks old. What's that? Two and a half months. It is not cloudy and has no floaties. I take good care of it...no shaking, rolling. keep it cold.
Tomorrow I will get a new one.
In the meantime, I shot his usual F.5 tonite.
God, I hope I didn't lose momentum, by waiting too long to replace it. I've read it can last several months, if taken care of properly.
Today:
242 ps
236+1.5
143+3
181+6
239+10
241+11
257 pmps
Any ideas, please?
ps, I changed location of shot....did a shoulder this morning....usually do scruff

I would guess it's the insulin...see what happens with a new one...bet it will be better for Checkers!
Lantus is good for 28 days as per manufacturer...some people get longer and I am not sure which you are using...The numbers go haywire if it's no longer effective...so yes,I'd try a new one as soon as you can.
