Georgia and Simon (GA)

Member Since 2010
Simon did the dreaded pukus thing right before it was time to get up. He is like clockwork -- always waits until right before the alarm goes off so instead of the buzzer, I wake up to the lovely sounds of pukus! I think the AMPS is a little high because of his sick tummy. I wasn't surprised that he was going to do this because he went outside for about an hour yesterday. He has found a little patch of earth in the yard that is known here as "Georgia clay" and is fascinated with it. He runs over to it and starts licking it. I think he has the Georgia Clay syndrome. For some reason, there are pregnant women in mostly rural Georgia that eat clay (soil) because they crave it during their pregnancy. Something about their bodies lacking some type of nutrient that is in the clay. They even sell packages of Georgia clay in places just for this reason. Maybe Simon thinks he is a pregnant cat! From now on, I am going to keep him away from that spot of earth.

All else is good. I have another day off from work but I'm off in a little bit to the dentist. Hopefully, I won't need any dental work. After the huge cost of Simon's dental, I can't afford to take care of my own teeth!! Have a great day y'all!

Re: 4/20 Simon AMPS 124

Hi guys .. nice start to the day .. but sorry to hear about the pukus .. I have never heard of georgia clay syndrome and to be honest that is really weird sounding  Good luck at the dentist office!!

Re: 4/20 Simon AMPS 124

Well, it actually isn't technically called Georgia clay syndrome (I made that up because it sounded good  ) but it does have some name attached to it but I can't remember. It has something to do with kaolin in the soil, I think. I also think it is pretty limited to the state of Georgia and maybe one or two other southern states.

Nice numbers for Simon today - I hope the PM cycle was as good. Sorry I am so late in posting here today. I hope Simon is feeling better - and Simon no more dirt for you!
