One more day.

Today isn't a good kitty day, other than Danny being in good numbers. Kass and D have refused to eat more than a few nibbles of food. They weren't even harassing me as usual this afternoon when I got up to feed them and found both their bowls still relatively full, which is very unusual. Luna went in for her spay today, and I'm wondering if they were upset she was gone, even though she's only been with us for a short while. Then again, they weren't harassing me this morning at mealtime either, and she was still home then.

As I said above Luna got her spay today. I'm rather depressed about it because they found out she was pregnant. If I had known she was I would have waited til the kits were reared and weaned, it would be hard but I would have managed and found them homes. *sighs* 'I didn't know' seems to be a pathetically weak excuse.

Sorry I'm a downer today.
 
daniels numbers for today look great, but I know you have a lot on your mind right now .. I'm sorry you are having a rough day ..
 
Oh, my, I'd feel down myself. You do something so positive and responsible (spay), and get turned upside down.

I hope you can focus on Daniel's wonderful progress. Very happy and excited for you!
 
oh I am sorry - you could not have known. I'd feel down too.

I am very happy for Daniel though - only one more day! It is an exciting time.

I hope you have a good evening, and that Luna came through her spay ok, that she heals well.
 
Caring vines of sympathy for you and healing vines for Luna. These things happen and it's best not to dwell on what might have been.
Daniel is doing great. I hope that his appetite gets back to normal. Tomorrow is the "big day".

Thank you all for your kind words. I was just so utterly sad when they told me, but my mother reminded me that with the state she was in the babies might have hurt her more in the end. She's small for her age IMO, barely over 5 pounds, malnourished when I found her, had hookworms... it puts it in a better perspective. I don't feel as sad now.

She is doing ok, woozy, really hungry, but that's normal with the meds in her system. Danny and Kass were still refusing to eat this afternoon, they only took a few nibbles but I'm hoping the food will be eaten by the time I get home.

But perhaps there'll be a big party tomorrow. Wish us luck.
 
Hi guys - I am glad that Luna did OK and is home recovering. I suspect that the others may be worried about her? and hence little eating. Eat your fuds guys - it will make your bean happy.
