Yesterday's Condo
ARGH!!! I had my condo all written, then I got interrupted by a visitor, and when I came back and hit PREVIEW, I got an error screen and couldn't get my condo back. I know I'm not the only one having issues, because I saw some people's condos posted multiple times. Let's see if I can remember what I wrote the first time. It was brilliant, of course!
Cinco is doing well. Low yellow and high blues last night and today, but I'll take that. Interesting that he went up at +5.5 but was lower than that at PMPS. I'm not going to try to figure it out. I'm just rolling with it.
He spent most of today relaxing in the family room. When I was typing my first attempt at this condo, he came and laid down on the floor near me. He used to do that a lot before he went blind, but hasn't done it much since, so I was pretty tickled. When I was outside talking to my visitor, my DH said Cinco was in here, talking up a storm. I think he was just being impatient about dinner, because when his plate was put in front of him he hoovered it right up! He took a post dinner stroll around the family room, pausing at the sliding screen door for about ten minutes, and then went back to one of his favorite spots in the living room for a post dinner nap. Quite an active day for him.
The DH spent the day replacing sprinkler heads, and I alternated between odd jobs inside and catching up reading newspapers (I'm several days behind and it's one of my "things" that I have to read every one of them - don't ask). Nothing exciting going on here, which is nice. The visitor was an old friend from high school who stopped by on her way home from her family gathering. We live two hours apart now but only see each other once every couple of years - busy lives! Mark just put a rib roast on the grill, and I'm going to make herb roasted potatoes, corn and a salad for dinner. Not traditional Easter fare, but it's one of our favorite meals. I may even trot out the fine china - it only gets used on holidays.
I hope everyone had/has a wonderful Easter, and if you celebrate Passover, I wish you a very happy Holy season.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG:
Cheers to Jersey and Davidson on their continuing OTJ trials :RAHCAT and
