Happy Caturday! :cat:

Ben had a bit of a rough day yesterday - he was having a very hard time with his litterbox, and after he peed he just lay down in the box :( I have had to help him more often lately anyway, and he can't hold his back end up high enough to keep his little bottom away from his poo. He's so good about letting me wipe him off though - and his haircut helps tremendously. He has pooped in his bed a few times, but I prefer this to him struggling to the box - it's only a few steps away from him.

Currently thinking of nixing the litter from his box, and seeing if he'll go on pads - might help with his mobility in the box. His box is XL and very low, with a low bit cut out of the front, and he cant get in OK, but seems to have poor traction on the litter.

Thankfully, he seems much better today. He enjoyed some outdoor time. Really feeling that all of his pain meds aren't enough to keep him fully comfortable, but he really can't have anything else. He's basically at max doses of everything :blackeye: He just seems to FEEL happy though...I think!

On the plus side, he's having a great day a far as his FD is concerned! He's really adjusted well to the reduction, afterall.

Here is Ben enjoying the sunshine this morning - with his new haircut!

Love the haircut!!! Looks like you could probably create a whole cat with all the fluff that got trimmed off! A little sunshine to warm his little kitty bones has got to feel good! :) Good luck figuring out the box situation, maybe putting a pad in one of those really shallow cardboard box trays that some cans come in would help him get in/out a little easier?

He really looks like a lion now. Love floof at end of tail. I don't have the courage to do Olive's legs and tail. No groomers here that do cats unless it's under anesthesia, I won't allow anesthesia for a hair cut especially with the hcm.

How about trying a foil cookie sheet with puppy pad in it? Or a thought came to me a bit ago. A sheet cake pan, it's really a nice size. Many years ago I got 2 from a restaurant going out of business, they had 6 of them and I wanted 4. When they asked if I had the oven big enough to fit them I told them what I was using them for, (to put it under the cats food dishes back then and some near doors for wet shoes or boots). All of a sudden the few people there wanted them. I had to fight for my 2 and remind them I was the one who asked first. Cost me $3 a piece and that was 30 yrs ago.

I use them for many things. Just today I used one when potting my seeds in the house, it contains the dirt I spill.

I used it for my tripod when she had trouble using traditional boxes. Worked beautiful for her.

Oh wow, what a great cut, so cute!....i wish Willow would let me near her with clippers. We're having a hard time keeping up with the mats as they form...she's a patchwork. Also hates having us clean her...wish Ben could talk to her lol. It's great that he has a good attitude and seems happy :)
