yesterday's condo

WCR Sara is doing good. Up and about getting the occasional head bath from the drooler Spence. I will be getting sc's when I can this weekend. I am going to the shelter today and probably tomorrow to help out. Tonight I am going out to dinner for my mother's BD. [April fools baby] We also take the dogs out for a walk on Sunday and am gone a good portion of the day. Than Monday it's back to tbp. Geeezzzz there is not enough time in a weekend. :-|

Allie the abandoned kitty I rescued in the fall is doing great! I can finally say I have a cat that's mine. What I mean is she follows me around. She takes a shower with me. Well she stands on the tub between the liner and the curtain. Than when I turn the water off she jumps in the tub and wants pets. She is on my lap a lot, especially when I'm on the computer. She was 6.5pds when I got her and now she's about 10. Best of all she doesn't have any interest in going outside so she must have been an indoor kitty. Just happy and content staying inside. Less for me to worry about. :-D Looking at her just warms my heart.

Have a great caturday.

Nice AMPS for Sara today, and it sounds like you have a nice day planned, too! How nice that you rescued Allie! Once you rescue a kitty like Allie, they will forever be grateful and continually thank you. Maggie was a rescue from a ravine and found me, and she does the same thing, except no bathtub. In the beginning she was always by my side, to the point where I had to be careful not to trip over her. Have a wonderful day.

Such a sweet story!! Love the showering Kitty! We rescued our kitties also from outside, they were under our tree & starving--We think someone dumped them & they saw our bird feeders..They were outside for 3 mths, but once we got them-indoors forever--They are very grateful!!
Have a great day GREAT AMPS!!! Hugs from us!

Looking good Sara! Awww, I love Allie. Enjoy your dinner with your mom. I wish my mom was closer but she lives in D.C. so we are lucky to see her once a year. Moms are the best! Happy Caturday to you guys!!!

Hi Ann, It is true on how they find you. Allie was just sitting in a field with tics all over her and starving. It was meant to be. I just happen to look out in that field that day. And look what they added to our lives.

Hi Roni, How could anybody just dump them off. It's hard to relate to the mentality of it, but I believe it. I think they say somebody will take them, but that doesn't always happen and than the kitties suffer. It's always nice to hear rescue stories.

Hi Celi

Marjorie, I know I have 4 other cats but they aren't mine like Allie is. ;-)

Hi Maria, That must be though not being able to see your mom more.

Well Sara was blue most of the day. I'd like to see more green but I'll take it.

Re: 4/2 Sara AMPS~138

Hi Jan, Those are nice blues for Sara, even though they're not greens! I know what you mean about rescued kitties being your friend for life. We rescued Alice (GA in 2000) on our Brooklyn street. She was being chased by a gang of little boys with sticks and bats. We just happened to be coming out of our house and she saw the open door and bolted inside. We chased the boys away. Alice found a home and she never forgot (she had obviously been a cast-away, not a feral). Her home was the most important thing to her and she lived with us for 11 years before dying of cancer (we never knew how old she was). She was very musical: loved in particular Wagner and Strauss operas and Gregorian liturgical chant. She played in our yard with a squirrel friend. She left the birds alone. She was our first kitty.

I hope you have a nice birthday dinner with your mom and can get in some nice walks with the dogs. Yes, the weekends fly by!!

Hi Jan and Sara. You are looking wonderful today Sara - such great numbers. I hope you make green today too.

It is also great to read about Allie - I remember when you first took her in, And look at her now. I know too what you mean about a kitty that is yours. I took in two from a friend who had to move and could not take his kitties with him. One of them ended up being mine. She did everything with me, from the cooking to the cleaning to the yard work, even in the shower too, everything. I'd sit here and work on the 'puter and she'd be on my lap, paws at the edge of the key board. What a great kitty. she is at the bridge now, but one just does not forget. I am glad that Allie is so happy where she is now.

have a great night!
