I am going to have to start putting that anti-jinx notes on my posts. :blackeye:

Someone is puking and I can't find out who. There was 2 cat offerings in 24 hours. I hope it is not Jones!

One was white and foamy - which I think was civvie Libby. She has been put on a diet and she is not happy almost stressed. I think we may have cut back too much too quickly for her. 1-3/4 cans to 1-1/3 cans per to day. She is very food motivated.

The second was food - all flat and puddly. Not sure if it was Jones or civvie CKD Kitty. :banghead::banghead::banghead: Think it is CKD Kitty - which may not be good. The reason I think that, is when I was cooking Jones first batch of homemade food and he was all over the place trying to eat it. So I know he isn't nauseous but the vomit was found shortly after in a place I was just 20 mins earlier and was clear. Please no pancreatitis!

So anti-jinx - the cooked food will be a hit.

Good luck being the vomit detective. It can also be a symptom of IBD - ask me how I know. :blackeye: Civie Theo could eat food with gusto and puke it back up later. :rolleyes:

Are you giving that one Pepcid?

I have famotidine that I give her when she needs a dose (basically when I know she is throwing up), there hasn't been any white foamy stuff since Saturday night, so fingers crossed that if it was CKD Kitty then she is feeling better.

If it was Civvie Libby - I gave her a little more food which seems to have helped her calm down a bit. We also had another failed attempt at bringing her Colicalm down, so that went back to 1/2 pill and she seems in a better mental place.

At 2 AM there was another brown puddle vomit. I woke up from a dead sleep to see who, but wasn't fast enough. I know it wasn't Civvie Kitty as she was on her bed on the couch. Pretty sure it was Jones because as I went to the bathroom he came sauntering in. He seems ok, spent the night with me purring. I was thinking it was the new homemade food but that was last night not yesterday morning. He did like it and ate the small bit I gave him with his regular food. I made a bit of a mistake and put it to the side vs. mixing it in with his regular food, which I did this morning. He ate a bit but not a lot this morning but ate a fair chuck of his evening meal. Totally rethinking my strategy and freaking out.

It can also be a symptom of IBD
so do you just ride it out? He is still on all his meds, I haven't touched those. Though I did notice a metronidazole that was spit back out from the other day.

:banghead::banghead::banghead:

So praying for no more vomit today and that Jones is ok. Maybe I will just give him his regular food for the next couple of days and see what happens. I leave for friends wedding on Thursday for 4 days. Will be asking for dose advice but I am thinking of just going to a drop while gone. Pretty close to what he is getting now anyway.
