TGIF and we don't have school...you'll understand why if you read my OT!
WCR: All Ps in place. Got snuggles from my girl last night and this morning. Appy is ok this morning. She's been perched in her window seat all day. We were supposed to have really bad storms all day today, but instead, we got some storms this morning and now it's just overcast. I would like for a little more rain...hydrangeas need water!
OT: So, yesterday, my school went on lock down for the second part of the school day. Apparently, the kids (spurred on by social media access & stupidity!) deemed this week "Fight week". The rumor was flying around that if we had 8 fights or more this week, we wouldn't have school next week. Here's my question: what idiot believed that rumor?! This is not typical of my school, but I feel like the ignorance and blatant disregard for rules and respect are becoming more the norm. Anyways, I actually wouldn't have minded being locked down with one of my classes, but because the students had to report to a class period that happened to be my planning period...I ended up getting stuck with another teacher's class because she left just before all of this happened. After babysitting her class, not only do I pity her for having to deal with some of those schmucks, but also I am reminded how much I really like my students this year. Our "new" Principal was wonderful yesterday and I really, really think she's great. I just hope this behavior doesn't cause her to leave us...I REALLY like her (she actually supports the ARTS!)

I am shocked at university student behavior too, Shelly. I can't imagine high school and middle school. Nice blues for Shasta and nice to have decent appy. Paws crossed for the rain. We need it too!
