Good Morning LL, I hope everybody's Monday has started out well. It was a slow go for me this morning but Choco was right above my head looking at me everytime my snooz went off. He was like, helloooooooooo, I'm hungry get your lazy bootie up please and thank you. Oh sure, easy for him to say, he gets to chow down and get back in his bed and snuggle up. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Thanks for stopping by everybody and CHEERING FOR CHOCO on his 12th day OTJ!!! We are so excited that we only have 2 more days to go. I gotta go spend some extra time with my two foster girls that will be leaving me to head up north to a rescue on Thursday. They were both saved from the pound and I've had them almost 4 months now. One is a medium haired torti named Amelia who is about 2 and just as beautiful as she can be and the other is Noelle who was just a stray kitten when she tried to keep warm this past December in someones car engine until they started it and her tail got caught in it. :o She is a charcoal/smokey color and is now a bobtail. I will miss them dearly but I know they will find good homes. Aaaaahhhh, the joys and heartaches of fostering. I hope everyone has a good night. I've got some snugglin' to do.

Happy Day 12 Choco!!!!

When I was a kid, one of the cats we had got his tail caught in the fan belt of my Mom's car. We didn't know/realize what had happened at first. Fur started showing up on the driveway, and we assumed he was in a huge at fight. He had gone missing for a week, and when he returned, his tail was stripped bald. We thought for sure he would have to be PTS, but the vet amputated his tail, and he pulled through quite nicely! He was quite lucky, and it sounds like Noelle was, too!

More power to you for fostering. I tried it once...and failed. Her name is Trixie :-D . Yep...we were already at capacity with 5. But Trixie had been abandoned by our former neighbors, and we had to step in. The rescue group we got our other kitties from was busting at the seams, so we told them we'd foster her until they found a home. Yeah...it didn't quite work out that way. We just couldn't part with her, after nursing her back to health (she had nearly starved to death).

I really admire you folks who can foster....it is soooo important. I wish I had your emotional strength.

Amy

Thanks Dian and Amy!!

Amy, Noelle was so scared (for obvious reasons) that she bit the person who was trying to get her out of the engine. They took her to the pound and because it was a bite incident, she had to stay in quarantine for 10 days with no treatment. I fully understand about foster failures. I have a few myself. I don't foster with the local group anymore but just more so with this group up north because they are pulling the death row kitties and usually I don't have them for more than a month so I don't have time to get too attached to them. Plus it's not an ongoing thing. After these girls leave, it could be six more months before I foster again. That's great that Trixie became your foster failure.

OMG, poor Noelle. I can't imagine letting a kitty suffer like that, under any circumstances. She's very lucky...

I know if Trixie was still with her former owners, she wouldn't be "here" anymore...they were (insert big long expletive here). She found us for a reason...I just wish she didn't have to spend the first 3 years of her life with "them".

just peeking in at Choco here...looking great for the big day!
enjoy your time with the fosters Maria! cat_pet_icon cat_pet_icon
