So far its a blue surf day or at least it is for Autumn...for me it is winter wonderland...wondering when the Heck the snow will stop and we will get Spring. Today 27 degrees out, 25mph winds and about 3 inches of snow so far and it is still falling. Tomorrow forecast high of 50...WTH? Oh yeah its Nebraska.

So far its a blue surf day or at least it is for Autumn...for me it is winter wonderland...wondering when the Heck the snow will stop and we will get Spring. Today 27 degrees out, 25mph winds and about 3 inches of snow so far and it is still falling. Tomorrow forecast high of 50...WTH? Oh yeah its Nebraska.

82 here, had thunderstorms last night and expecting a bunch more Friday night thru Sat morning, highs over the weekend of low 60's, high Monday of 58!! Thanks for sending that mess to us Mel! :lol:
Not cold enough to snow, but certainly lower than normal temps for us for this time of year. It's been higher than the norm for the past 2 weeks, in the low 80's. Our norm for this time of year is low 70's. So we'll either be well above it or well below it. :lol:
Had to turn the A/C on a couple weeks ago. When it gets into the 80's, my apt will be 90 and I can't deal with that. :shock: At least I can turn it off for the next week or so and just keep my fan in the window. :thumbup
Love the clean air to get rid of the smell of catfood! They are so messy when they eat, always sliding gobs of food off the plate and onto the floor. Have to wipe up the floor after every meal and mop the floors every 3-4 days. Wish they would keep it on the plates. :roll: Shadow is the worst, she makes such a mess, 1/2 her food ends up on the floor. Every meal, I have to pick up the chunks and put them back on the plate for her to eat. :lol: She licks them right off the plate! Lucian is the only one to figure out how to BITE canned food. The other 2 lick it off the plate every time.

Days like you are describing make me so glad my folks were east coasters and decided to stay that way....and of course I've followed in their footsteps. Granted they moved down from where winter hung around much too long - but once it was gone, it was gone - unlike for you folks in the middle of the country.

72 and a long ways to go before nadir....and if she drops below 40 today there is nowhere to reduce to....just not going to say what I'm thinking because I don't want to jinx her.

Unless she decides to dip again right before her pmps looks like she decided to nadir at +6 today but loving the Blue surf today.

Yeah - there's something to be said for not dipping too low - keeps her (hopefully) from bouncing back up.
Deb- I've managed to hold off on the A/C - I'm lucky enough to have a stucco house thats well shaded in the back, so as long as I draw the front curtains its pretty good at staying cool until things get really bad. I still find it amazing that I grew up in this area and didn't have AC until I was a teenager - and then it was just a window unit cause I whined so much about being hot (and it is hot on the upstairs floor of a house. Heck, my first cars didn't have air conditioning.
But its supposed to be cool here this weekend - that said, as long as its sunny I'm just fine with a bit of cool - still have a lot of yardwork to do and when it gets hot - the brambles and weeds get ahead of me.
