Well, I totally failed at even ATTEMPTING a curve yesterday. (What do they say? The road to hell is paved with good intentions?! ) I'll try for some midday tests today.

Question, if his insulin was BAD, the whole batch, what would his numbers do throughout the day? I'm asking this as I'm wondering if I should be buying an entire new pack of Lantus refills? I don't understand how he's this high :( I know, I know, "if I'd been doing more mid cycle tests, I'd know" . . . .

Sigh . . .

Stay safe all,
Darcy

He could be bouncing or you just haven't reached the "magic" dose yet to get him into better numbers. Try to get some +2 or +3's and some mid-cycle tests in. That will tell you how low this dose is bringing him and you can adjust accordingly. Other than high numbers, is there another reason you think the insulin might be bad?

Hi Sonia,
No, the only reason I'm "hoping" that the insulin is bad are the numbers. I just don't understand why he had better numbers before, even when he still had a mouth full of infection :( I just don't get it.
