Happy Easter to each and every one of you, your sweet babies, your families, and your civvies. We send tons of love and hugs to you all and vines for any in need (Lyresa's Spike, Phoebe). And Tobey sends extra hugs to his Auntie Ellabean (@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA)). Tobey and Livia are doing great. Livvie was finally spayed and had her rhinoplasty on Mar 27 just short of ten mos old. She came through it all with flying colors and now her tiny nostrils are open wide and she is breathing like a normal kitty. It makes our hearts so happy that she no longer has to work to breathe and breathe through her mouth (although it never slowed her down). The surgeon did a fantastic job and she is fully healed from both surgeries. Tobey had a dental on April 3 and also did great....no extractions and only one premature ventricular contraction (he's prone to these under stress) which was a vast improvement.
And the big news is we leave in a couple days for two weeks in France where we will stay with Suki and John for three nights and get to meet Poppy, Chloe, Tiggy, and Bolly. I am so excited that I can hardly wait!!!! Some of you know one of my DBILs recently passed away and so we are taking my sister, Kaye, with us. We will be in Paris several days, Normandy, Mont St. Michel, Suki's & John's, and then up the Loire Valley to visit the castles (a trip I've always wanted to do but missed in the six years we lived in Europe). I am so happy to show my sister Paris....my favorite place in the world. Mike is worried that after being at Suki's, I will want to move to France (but I already do!). We will have our live-in petsitter here 24/7 and she is close friends with our vet and our AC so we have a good team in place.
It will be hard to leave our babies for that amount of time but it's taken us 16 months since my sweet, ever loved and horribly missed, LBG crossed to feel we are ready to really start traveling again like we did before FD. It's a huge step for us both.
AND......when we get back, Liz (@Anne & Zener GA) and Wendy (@Wendy&Neko) will be here for a visit! Karen (@Doodles & Karen) is going to drive down to Tucson from Phoenix so we can all be together for a day. I can't wait to meet Wendy and Karen in person; Liz has been here many times but I always love seeing her.
The friendships we make here in L/L Land are amazing. There is a bond between us that extends through time. These ladies, and many of you, have been here with us through happy days and the very darkest of hours and we are blessed and thankful.
