4/15 Simon +10 112 PMPS 127 vet follow-up visit

Simon is steadily coming back down to some nicer numbers. Last night he even posted a very blue-green 104 before bedtime. All P's in place this morning although this bean does not feel too playful. In addition to my headaches, I couldn't go to sleep last night until 2:00 AM which means I got about 3 hours sleep. Of course, today at work is going to be very busy. I'll be drinking lots of tea and coke -- bring on the caffeine! My kitties were so confused when I kept tossing and turning. I would settle down for a minute and then both of them would get back in place leaning against my body. Finally, I was able to relax some by just petting them and listening to them purr. That seemed to be the best sleep medicine and I was finally able to fall asleep. I am making no plans for the weekend so I can relax, relax, relax!!

Oh I almost forgot, I have to bring Simon in late this afternoon for his 1 week check up at the dental. Keeping fingers and paws crossed that everything looks good.

petting is the best medicine. When my Dad had his heart attack I moved in to help with my kitties. My Dad's doctor said his recovery was so fast because of having Tray near him. So keep petting the furbabies and your headaches will hopefully go away.

I hope you have an easy, pain free day today .

Good Morning Georgia,

Simon's looking goo-ood! The kitties' purring last night has given me an idea! You know those sound machines people use to help them sleep? Some have ocean sounds, or babbling brooks, etc. Well, they should add a purring kitty sound to those machines! :razz: :razz: I used to have a kitty who liked to curl up around the top of my head and purr. I loved the sound and vibration of that, and it helped me sleep...

Good luck at the checkup today, and I hope you don't get any more headaches. I have them myself, and I try to cut myself off from caffeine each day at 2pm, so I can have a better chance of sleep that night.

binksy-purr always soothes me...but i tend to have insomnia, so it's just really relaxing to hold him!
 
Simon and I just got back from his follow-up vet visit after his dental last week. His toothies look wonderful and his gums where the tooth extractions were look very healthy. No temperature and his weight is stable from last visit. Simon was much happier this visit since he didn't have to have any major thing done to him, although he missed getting the happy meds.

I checked his bg before we left and it was 112 and I tested him immediately after we got home and it is a respectable 127. Much happier with these numbers. Have a good evening.
 
It's so nice to see the very handsome Simon back in these great numbers. Great news from the vet, too!! I hope you get some rest tonight ...at least it is the weekend so hope you can catch up on zzzzsss.

all great news! we joke at our house about the sleep molecules the cats put off when they are purring. it's especially bad when they're up close to your face doing it - i can't resist at all. just tip over and fall asleep. it's good medicine.
 
YAY!!! Great numbers, successful post-dental check up, and happy purry kitties to boot. What a great day for you guys.

I am glad too that Simon's numbers are back to what they should be., That has to feel good.
