Yesterday morning found Mannie in bounce mode, but he did seem to clear it quickly, spending most of the day surfing the yellows. It was a yellow morning, afternoon, and evening... I guess Mannie wanted it to be warm and sunny all day that he decided being yellow would help some. :roll: This morning however we have a great 107, and I cannot help but wonder what he did throughout the night. Mannie? How low did you go? Your bean missed it... cat_pet_icon I did feed Mannie 7% LC this AM to bump him up a little before onset. :? Guess it did: 169 @ +1.

I made 7 attempts last night a getting the fuds dance on video... I was so close! I think he has eyes in the back of his head - I'd get to withing one second of hitting the record button and all movement stopped. Mannie 26 and counting, Bean 0. He did better with Nicholas yesterday - little migration to the basement, instead he sought out the refuge of his bed, on the same floor. SWEET!, and improvement. :cool: :-D :-D All is well in MannieLand this morning. He was ready for breffis, ready for test, ready for shot, ready for anything. All was greeted with purrs and head rubs. Nanners were slept in last night, so little tending was required this morning: a little shuffle here and there, more slobbers, and back to sleep on top of them all. :cool:

SWEET: another day of DGS sitting. I just don't know how many of you I will be able to visit - know I am thinking of you all, and hope all is well in your neck of the woods: with you and your furkids. :-D

My friends! Our vigil at Gracie's catnip patch continues.... the bad pool mens are still working, though I think we have intimidated them with our presence. They dare not venture near, and have made sure to avoid the patch. We done good! and power to the kitties! and camp outs! and grillin'! and perimeter lights and security alarms! and MRE's! I think we can plan on some dune buggys today, maybe some mountain gliding, maybe even some desert hiking. :cool: SWEET! See you guys there! ~~ Mannie

Great start for Mannie today. I'm glad he's getting used to Nicholas. Gabby hides if kids are here. I've no idea how Gizmo would react.

Morning SIenne - thanks, it is coming along with Mannie and the baby. I dread the first morning when Mannie goes low, and the baby is here. I can see it now: crying or noisy kid, kitty numbers in the toilet and no way will Mannie be in the same room with a wiggly noisy baby. I thought maybe today would be my first attempt at juggling 30 minute testing with the little one here. with a 169 @ +1, maybe not, we shall see..... might be a very interesting morning... I hope he gets used to the little one before that day arrives. :lol: :lol:

There sure is a lot of action with a Sugar Cat and a baby around...! Mannie will start loving the little one's company in no time.

Great start for Mannie this morning.

Thanks for the meter info the other day. I'm ditching the Arkray Gluometer...especially when it read 35 and my reliable One Touch Ultra read 57. The 37 would cause me to give karo and reduce her insulin. The 57 would just be a nice low number.

Wow, what a great start to the day, Mannie! And it's FRIDAY. Michelle, I'll bet you are singing TGIF. I hope it will be a wonderful day of better and better adjustment for Mannie and Nicholas.

Hi Manouk! crazy morning here, but it is working. Busy baby, busy kitty - phew!! It is so great though to have a blue kitty. and yes - I think he will warm up to the baby in no time. paws crossed!

Hi Ella - YES IT"S FRIDAY! love the baby and the time together, but so demanding! Now I have 4 days off. :-D I do think Mannie will come around - he really is a people kitty. It's just a matter of getting used to new sounds. This morning we are back on the bed in the basement. It's OK - he's happy there. So I just go and test him there, Went well this AM.

Morning Tommy's bean - THANKS (!!) for the visit! and thanks you on the photos - he is quite the kitty. Then again we have so many wonderful kitties here. I too hope he can find the land o the greens today. That would be so great!

Morning Ann, and Tess - This has been good. I know the 7% probably bumped his out of the greens, but the blues are low, and well it is good for today. It is a challenge to juggle a baby that wants to play and a kitty that needs to be tested every 30. so.... quite content with the low blues. It's been a good morning. AND NO DIVING !!! WOOT!!! SWEET!!

Wow...I feel better already since you all are rallying the troops! Gracie will be so excited that they are willing to take turns at ear pokeys. I told her tho...only those who want to be green today!!

Mannie...thanks for bringing all the frens to my house to keep guarding the patch especially since my bean is sick...she not too good of a guard today and she just wants to lay on da sofa and sleep and then get up and pokey me. What's up wif that??? She needs KTSS and I need some ear pokey relief but I gave her 186 so she says "harumpf...two hours now Lil G Money".

What a great afternoon! :-D :-D :-D Mannie eventually came upstairs and hung out with little Nicholas, for about 15 minutes. :cool: I took Nicholas to his mom's TBP for lunch so he could visit her co-workers. I was lucky enough afterwards to be able to go , a short 6.2 miler. Cougar Mtn is a nice lowland woods hike, with a beautiful waterfall and an extensive trail system. I had a grand time! Even saw some free-roaming deer. SWEET!

Hi Christie - that I did. He really is a great baby, very sweet. and the mid afternoon hike was great - just what the doctor ordered: time on a trail. :-D

Hi Marje- i sure hope you are better.... paws crossed. The KTSS is bound and determined to wait on you hand and foot. so be good now, and eat all that soup. they made enough to feed an army.... too funny on the pokies substitutions! :lol: :lol: :lol: -- and I think Mannie is just getting used to him. He's OK as long as he doesn't cry. He just doesn't understand what that means, and so he flees.... getting better each day. -- and yes on the day today. wow - hoping he'll carry it to the greens tonight. Hi Ella - it has indeed been a good day. A very chaotic busy one, but I have had a grand time.... Hike was nice. These lowland hikes are nice "warm-up" hikes for the really cool stuff come later this summer. :cool:

I hope that Alex and Jackson likes their birthday cake. I LUBS that cake. Thanks for the wishes...I slept alot of the day, got to feeling a little better and did a few condos, tried to eat...now a little queasy again. So I'm trying to rest since Gracie has been flat yellow this afternoon. Have a great evening. Thanks for keeping the kits cooking the soup!!
