Good Morning LL ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (LOTS! I just love ~O) ), and Happy TUNA Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP, kitteh barista pilot!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is TUNA TUESDAY!!! In honor of Tuna Tuesday, once again Lola and Bug, aka Paw Prints Pizza, will make their famous triple tuna pies, with tuna and nip infused crust, tuna toppings, and now triple tuna infused cheese. YUMMMMMMMM! It's tradition!, and these pizza pies totally rock! and as a side benefit we have TUNA WATER too! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... OH! forget it... no tuna mochas. BLECH!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We did well here! We made 73 here, under blue sunny skies. What a great day weather wise - just gorgeous out there, it was so nice to be out without a coat. SWEET! Today will be a little cooler, and back to the rains later in the day. so.... out yesterday was a must. Too nice not too. I decided early on that a road trip was in order. The hiking urge is beginning to make itself known! I will be elated when the mountain trails open again, I can hardly wait. We have a few more months for that, but it is nice to be able to get out to the lower elevation things now. Here's what I wrote about the day yesterday in last night's post: "Hi Everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. We did well today. It has been a very busy one, but ever so fun. Weather has held all day. We made 73 today, under what I am guessing were mostly sunny skies. uh.... guess cuz I wasn't home! ;-) It felt even warmer over in Leavenworth, though reported high was 67. I have no complaints. It was sunny when I got there, clouded up when I headed to Peshastin. The Views from the Road, and getting over the mountains and through Stevens Pass was gorgeous,. All those snow covered mountains under sunny skies. Downright awesome.   I decided to head to Leavenworth, just cuz.... didn't want to deal with I90 and Snoqualmie Pass and some really intense construction there, and Leavenworth had a great weather report. So..... I visited a Wenatchee River hike, in Tumwater Canyon. it's short, easy, but with really nice views. I really enjoyed that. Went down and did the Peshastin Pinnacles, just 9 miles outside of Leavenworth, if only becasue I have never hiked them before. Wow, that was good. Another short one, moderate elevation gain, cool rock formations, and nice views too. I had thought of going to Saddle Rock in Wenatchee, but that would have added 3 hours to the day, so decided to back track along HWY 2, visit Alpine Falls, and see if the road to Beckler River was snow free. Two weeks ago it wasn't. Today it was. YAHOO! Nicolas will be happy to hear it, he was asking the other day. Beckler is one of the first rivers I ever took him too, and he does have a fondness for it. Anyways - it has been a very good day, on the road, but out too, I liked all I visited and spent time with. On the way home I couldn't help but visit Zeke's Drive-In, a local place frequented by the hiking community, and others too, as it has the best burgers! Left at 7AM, back home at 5PM. Phew!!! Longgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg Day! " :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   The kitties were good kitties yesterday, even Lola, for the most part...Lola will always be Lola. It was nice enough yesterday that Elsa made a few trips outside once I was home. It was so cool to see the old gal sunbathing on the deck railing, walking in the grass, just enjoying being outdoors. Everytime I watch her do that it reminds me of Mannie. It does every time I let her out... He loved that backyard. Funny, Elsa continues to take over some of his "paths". That is kinda cool. She spent alot of time on the railing, face up to the sun. Really a nice time for her. And she didn't want to come in! I was home on time too from my road trip, so the kitties weren't waiting, prancing and giving me that "you're late" look.... Instead I got the 'hey - you're home, can we eat now?" look. Good kitties! All was well when I got home too, nothing had been Lola-ized. Bug was affectionate beyond affectionate so we had alot of pets and scritches. Nice time last night with the kitties. Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone. It is a "catch-up" day for me - since I haven't really done alot in the past three days. Some things got done, a lot did not... Cleaning for sure, and maybe some yard work. There is lots to do here, so the day shall not be wasted, ;-)

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Beautiful pics. I bet it is nice to get out and really hike again. This winter has been brutal. Love that Elsa enjoys herself so much outside. Have a great day Michelle!!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the pics. It was ncie. The hikes were short yesterday, but it sure felt great. so agreed on winter.... :? Me too on Elsa, she always has been that way: her and Mannie, both good outdoor kitties, who, for the most part, did not wander far.

Re: 4/15 LOOSE LIPS: rivers and pinnacles and falls and Beck

Hi Michelle,
That was a beautiful day you had yesterday! The Pinnacles are amazing. Do people rock climb there? And the falls and the rivers--really moving at this time of year. The Wenatachee would be one to take the boys to. But I guess it's pretty far away. Zeke's looks very cool! You must have enjoyed that burger a lot, to take a picture of it to remind yourself how good it was!

Have a fine day today.

Elsa, thank you for the delicious ~O) . Rusty is looking forward to seeing you, Bug and Lola at the Full Pink Moon Party tonight. Mannie and Stu will be in their element in the Two Chefs' Bridge Kitchen. I hope the LL kitties can catch a glimpse.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 4/15 LOOSE LIPS: rivers and pinnacles and falls and Beck

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) THX, it was a great day. The pinnacles were really cool. I am not sure that they climb within the park boundaries - I saw no evidence that they did. There are several other climbing walls that are north and south of there where I did see climbers. The rivers here are gorgeous right now, and all have that color one gets when snow melt is involved. Very very pretty, and very fast. very true on being able to take the boys to the wenatchee. The pale I did yesterday has a section that was very suitable for them, and I think they could do a portion of that trail, at least to the spot where one has to cross a wide creek on a single log. LOL on the Burger - they are very good there! :-D
Auntie Ella - you are so welcomes! I am so excited for the party! I've been helping Bug and Lola with all the pizzas. They made LOTS! Me to - on seeing Mannie, and Stu, and all the GA's. It will be good. ~~ Elsa, KBP

I'm glad you got to get out and enjoy yourself yesterday. I hope you get a little me time today in between getting caught up on things. How nice Elsa can enjoy being outside.

Re: 4/15 LOOSE LIPS: rivers and pinnacles and falls and Beck

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one, and the evening even better. We did ok here, much better than expected. I think we made 65, some sun today, and it is now just starting to cloud up, waiting on those rains tonight. Day has been nice however. I got things caught up, house cleaned , laundry done, and even got my car tested for tabs renewal. Just too exciting isn't it? i did make it out for a long beach walk too, tides were out, so I could explore some. That was fun. Surprisingly no one else was there. YaHOO on that! On the way back from the emissions place I went by Scriber Lake, so decided to stop there for a short walk. It's a nice trail, pretty little lake, maybe .7 miles to do the loop. Not too bad for downtown lynnwood. Parts of the trail were a soggy mess, that lake overflows every spring.... or anytime we have heavy rains. We manged to navigate those parts OK. so went the day here today.... :-D

Hi Carla ~O) Me too on yesterday - it was an excellent day. We did today too, not as nice as yesterday but still good! I so agree on Elsa.

Re: 4/15 LOOSE LIPS: rivers and pinnacles and falls and Beck

Hey Michelle,

I would be super-excited to get the laundry and housework done. I'm living in a pigsty right now! You know - my offer of you taking care of my laundry for me still stands! I mean, now that you have yours caught up!

Have a great night!
Shelly

Re: 4/15 LOOSE LIPS: rivers and pinnacles and falls and Beck

Hi Shelly - ~O) I thought of you when I wrote that about the laundry etc being done... I had to force myself - i needed clean clothes! Thx on tonight - time to pout the feet up!

Re: 4/15 LOOSE LIPS: rivers and pinnacles and falls and Beck

Hi Michelle, sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday for a road trip. Beautiful pics of all your stops and hikes. Neat with the road being opened for Beckler River. I have a feeling today will be a visit there with the boys. That Zeke Drive in sounds so good judging at the pic of that cheeseburger. Always makes me hungry for a burger. Is that a restaurant where you can just pull in and order? Have a wonderful day today with Nicholas and William.
Hugs and scritches from me and Katie.

Re: 4/15 LOOSE LIPS: rivers and pinnacles and falls and Beck

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) I did - that was a fun road trip, loved it all. Thx on the pics - the area really is a very pretty one. Yupp, back to the boys today - a swim day today and then whatever else looks good and the weather allows. Qe have rains coming in today. Yes on Zeke's. A walk up to the window type place, place your order and then find a place to eat outside, or in your car. The burgers there really are good. THX on today - it should be fun.
