Good morning

Fistuk vomited again at +11 PM. He held the food yesterday all day and that was the first vomit since yesterday @+7AM, more than 24 hours.

Last ketone was Sep 4, 2023. I have only urine sticks so I can't test for ketones, he hasn't peed since yesterday late morning

He had a total of 60g food yesterday (AM & PM cycle) which amounts to 578 cal - normally he gets about 105g a day, 935 cal

He's looking very weak but he's alert and looks like relieved from what was bothering him. He really didn't want to eat. Each time we fed him (just 2-4ml with syringe each time) he'd try to hide or growl.

Yesterday afternoon he was on the balcony and moved by himself just a little bit, to adjust his sun/shade position and then when it gotten cooler towards the evening he came in the house by himself. It's to say he's not completely apathetic but he's also not ver mobile and he can barely keep it together more than a step or two on his hind legs.

It's shot time now! and I honestly don't know what to give him

Unfortunately it’s not a typo
Spoke briefly with our vet. She’s less worried about kidneys. What you didn’t see (and true that I didn’t mention here) is the head CT scan from before rhe surgery. The left side is full of either pass or mass. The vet said she’s need to send it to radiologist to understand what it is
There a fistula as well in the nasal cavity

Our vet said ahe mostly worries about figuring out whether the WBC Is produced by the body or specifi bacteria or what’s in the head and he probably would need to be on AB IV

when I brought the box we take him to the vet normally in spite of being really weak he’s just went straight in. It was a clear sign he’s saying he need more help than home

Oh I'm so so sorry Shelly. My heart is also breaking for you. You were Fistuk's biggest and best champion, you gave him the absolute best care and life he could have. Continually advocating for him and always providing him a safe space to land, whatever he needed. None of that makes this any easier, what you're doing is very difficult. I hope he can rest easy now and watch over from above. Sending many hugs to you both.

I'm so sorry, Shelly. It's never an easy decision. With Bandit, we dragged it out and kept her going with syringe feeding because we thought she was rallying. When we finally decided to give up, she just collapsed. Almost like she was relieved we agreed with her and she no longer needed to push herself for our sake. On hindsight, I wish we had decided to release her earlier, but we do the best we can at the time. Hindsight is always 20:20.

Take care of yourself, Shelly. You tried very hard and sometimes it's not enough to keep them with us.

As Bhooma wrote, it is such a difficult decision. You are so strong. It was so hard for me to decide when it was time to let Bella go, but please remember that you are doing everything because you love him so much, and you can give him this, you can let him go. I am not good with words but I know you love him so much, and he knows it.

Shelly, I am so so sorry. I know words don't help. You fought so hard for little Fistuk and he knows. You gave him so much care and a good, happy life, I hope you can find some comfort in that. This will be hard, but we're all here with you and Fistuk will be with you always. I'm so sorry. My heart breaks for you. Hugging you tight and kisses to sweet Fistuk as he moves onto the next part of his journey. He can rest now. :bighug:
 
Oh Shelly, I am so very sorry to hear this. You have been the most incredible mum to sweet Fistuk. You’ve done absolutely everything and more to help him. I was praying for a good outcome and I’m so sorry you all have to go through this. He fought so hard, your sweet warrior.

May his memory be a blessing and may he always fly free and land softly.

Oh Shelly, my heart is broken for you. I'm so, so sorry. That decision is impossible to make but you're so strong and I know you chose what was best for Fistuk. You fought so hard for your sweet boy and gave him such a loving, happy life despite his medical struggles. Your sweet angel can fly free and watch over you, just like you watched over him. :rb_icon:

Oh Shelly - I am heartbroken to see this. You and Fistuk have fought so hard and for so long. I know you love him beyond the moon, beyond the stars, beyond all time. You love him enough to do anything for him … and that is the hardest thing. We all love Fistuk, and you, and I hope you can feel how many hearts are with both of you. (((Shelly and Robert))) I am so sorry to hear this news. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:. Our little furry friends are so good at hiding pain or discomfort until it just becomes too much. You have done so much to help him.

This next while is going to be really hard on you. Take care of yourself. You did everything you could, and more, for little Fistuk. Sometimes we just run out of options. This is the kindest but hardest thing to do.

Oh Shelley ,my heart is just breaking for you and Robert. Crying right now thinking of Fistuk. You did everything you could for him. He knew how much you loved him. You have him the best life he could ever had. I'm going to miss him . Fly high sweet Fistuk , you will never be forgotten. I know you are chasing butterflies now with all the other kitties and have probably found a nice sunny spot to enjoy.

Oh Shelly, my heart breaks for you, Robert and Prince over and over again. I cannot even imagine how hard this decision must have been for you. At the same time it's the most beautiful and selfless act of love. You were the greatest mama to our sweet Fistuk and you both fought long and hard. Carry him in your heart always and he'll never leave.
