Hello,
Can someone with the dental issues knowledge/experience please take a look at the attached pictures and help me figuring out if this is inflammation? How bad is it? Or is it something else?
Ducia recently had etube removed and the healing site was covered by the sport wrap – an elastic synthetic band put over dry gauze to prevent scratching. Several times she tried to remove the wrap from her neck and managed to get a thread from it to hook on to her teeth. She would then violently shack her head until thread was released ( by a bean). I imagine she hurt her gums with that thread.
There is reddishness on her upper gums around large teeth and the smell from her mouth is not bad, not at all, but not as fresh as it could be. She is nine years old. I wouldn’t expect to smell the roses.
If this is an inflammation what can be done about it at home? I am not able to afford vet visit now.
Maybe you can recommend some sort of home remedy, like applying something on her gums daily? I cannot tell if she is having troubles chewing, doesn’t look like it. Until today most of her food was pates but I am switching her to shredded chicken now. She will need to do more chewing. Is it ok if she has gums inflamed?
Any thoughts and advises are greatly appreciated.
Thank you !
