Yesterday's Condo

Well, I didn't want to see a mid yeller, but that is what we got. Hopefully today when I go home for lunch, he will be in a nice low blue or high green. Totally hoping for the bestest. Yesterday was a great day for my friend! He was finally surfing!

I love the avatar :)

I hope you get your wish and come home for lunch to a nice blue or high green.

I guess no one told you that the dates on your spreadsheet are off. I think April 12th is really April 11th, etc.

Re: 4/14 Tyler AMPS 255 womp womp womp

Probably just a baby bounce off the greens yesterday..Bouncing into sunny yellow isn't bad at all!

Hopefully he'll be in the blues (or greens) by lunchtime!

Love the new avatar too! Looks like he has very long front legs...LOL

Such a handsome dude!!

Re: 4/14 Tyler AMPS 255 +7 124

Well, today he's in the blues for his +7 which is something that I can live with :-D

So with him doing better, of course I have to worry about my other kitty, Marla. Dropped off a stool sample just a few minutes ago. Hoping for no need to worry, but I'd rather know than not know, she's my little bearded lady, I have to keep her well also!

Hope all of you in LL are doing well today!!!

Good evening, folks of Lantus Land!

PMPS number is in!!! and it's Blue!!! 140 to be exact... so, that's cool! My good buddy is in some good numbers, thank you all who have been helping us along the way, we certainly could not have done it without you all!!!

Re: 4/14 Tyler AMPS 255 +7 124 PMPS 140

BLUEtiful Tyler!!

What a nice day today! Hopefully he'll have a great surf tonight too!

Did you get any answers yet about Marla?

Have a great evening, Brian

Re: 4/14 Tyler AMPS 255 +7 124 PMPS 140

Thanks, Chris!

I hope he is feeling totally radical and ready to surf!

About Marla, no answer, just that the stool sample was negative across the board for blood and parasites & whatever else the test for. I knew that she has no parasites, I don't believe that they could live in her! Her stool is always diarrhea but is now looking like black clay. I didn't think it was blood because of the looks of it, I don't know, maybe the FF isn't the best thing for her tummy. I need to check her past checkups for tests they've already ran and schedule her an appointment, but she is out of date on her shots and that will only add to the bill. I have to wait until next pay day. :YMSIGH: she's my little baby bear and I'm concerned about her!

Ok, so he's surfing the cool blue wave this evening. Things are lookin' up! Thanks again, from everyone who has helped & supported me through this stuff! You all knew before I did, that this isn't always easy, but it can be managed. Now, we wait and see how long he can keep the good numbers on this dose!

Re: 4/14 Tyler AMPS 255 +7 124 PMPS 140 +3 160

Brian, have you tried adding pumpkin or baby food squash to her food? That can sometimes help with diarrhea. Aloe juice can also help. Probiotics might be something else to look into. A lot of people here give Fortiflora.

Hi Alexis,

Miss Marla has kind of a condition that none of the vets she has visited have been able to peg, but pretty much give me the same answer.
Marla has had a bad runny nose, runny eyes, and diarrhea since I rescued her from death row at the humane society, she was approximated to be 1 year of age, she is approximately 10-11 years old. The general answer that I keep getting is that if a kitten gets a bad respiratory infection when they are young and it goes untreated, they could be stuck with it for life. But she does seem allergic to flea bites, so I've often wondered if she has severe allergies. Once, I had a vet give her a cortisone shot and she seemed a little better for about a month, maybe a tad longer. But I didn't want to have her injected every month with a steroid. She's a super duper sweet kitty, and she looooooooves to snuggle and make biscuits!

I've heard about the fortiflora and my cousin and I were thinking of going in on a box to see if it would help our kitties, she has a black cat whose whiskers break and can't seem to find the right food for her.

thanks to all who help, it definitely does not go unappreciated!

Uh...Tyler buddy...that's the wrong direction!! Turn around and head the other way now! (but no speeding!!)

Have you tried L-Lycine with Miss Marla? A lot of times it can help with chronic respiratory stuff

Well, what a fun start to my sleeping schedule... so from what I gather, my roommate does not know how to read a cat's body language at all. The cat's may already have some angst for this guy because the litter box was was in the closet of the room he is occupying, so there's the territory dispute already.

Last night, the roomie was trying to play with Tyler and he ended up literally cornering him to where Tyler hissed at him... he's a pretty mellow cat. I was doing my homework, and once I realized what was going on, I said "knock it off, it's obvious that he doesn't want you messing with him". Dude really didn't get it, but left him alone. I've told him not to let them in his room just in case. So he's been keeping the door closed, but when he's here, he lets them come scope out the room... Well, at some point Tyler was in there and took a leak all over his blanket and some clothes. Luckily, it didn't go through to his mattress, but I'm a little ticked at the both of them right now. I know Tyler is a cat and can't be blamed, and was not punished. I told him to get a spray bottle with water and not to let them in his room at all. I said a spray bottle is the only punishment that is acceptable.

cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam

I hate that this happened, because nothing like this has ever happened. Ever. They have always used the litter box. But I understand the mentality of a cat because I have grown up around them. Either way I think maybe Tyler is either on a bounce or his numbers went up because of the commotion not 20 minutes before I tested him. :YMSIGH:

Looks like I will be drinking lots of ~O) tomorrow!!! The roommate left and I have decided to change the laundry while he is out to get it done quicker. I really miss having my place all to myself!!! But it's to save money so I can move to Gainesville. At least the people the cats and I will be living with are people they have grew up around, oh yeah, and their kitty roommate, Turd who has been Tyler & Marla's roommates before...

Ok, I'm done complaining now!

Hi Tina,

I was informed about it a couple of times. I saw some for cats online today, but wanted to check my local pet store tomorrow at lunch. It is actually for my other cat, Marla. But I will give it a try!

Not to get you all worried, but cats don't generally pee in "spite"....us beans are the only ones who do things out of spite

I'd be more concerned (especially with his numbers creeping up) that he might be working on a UTI. Most "litter box accidents" have a medical cause, so if he continues to pee outside the box, you might want to get him in for a check up

I know having one more thing added to your list of things to do is just what you wanted, but I also know how much you care for Tyler and want the best for him!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
